I am trying to decide on trading a Tac-8 pistol setup I have for a 2k2 LCD setup with a guy and wanted advice.
I have an upgraded internals Spyder Fenix electric and want to know how the older Angel 2k2 LCD compares in performance etc..as I have no experience with Angels at all. I do know they are a higher quality marker and much more $$ new, but will the Angel offer me much more than the Fenix to make having both worth it?

Well assuming that it doesn't have eyes, the angel lcd still offers many things such as great consistancy, different firing modes (if the board is unlocked), game timer, fully adjustable trigger, easy to read lcd screen, rechargable battery (no more money spent on 9-volts), better air effeciency than your current marker, and it is easier to find replacements parts for the angel than the spyder. I would recommend adding a real fast hopper to your list such as a halo-b, reloader-b, or evo-2. Plus there are many upgrades available such as trigger upgrades, board upgrades, many barrel kits, etc.
Hope this helped.

Man... I have a 2k LCD that was ACE'd by Warped Sportz back in the day. Dude... it owns even the newer Ions and such. It's semi only but if you get good at walking it.... psh... nothing will stop you. I'd take an older Angel over ANY Spyder any day (shoot... I'd take an older Tippmann over any Spyder any day as well... but that's just me). Hook up the Angel... you'll love it!

Thanks for the advice. If it works out, what's a newbie Angel LCD owner need to know about marker? Never used one before. Also would the 2k2 LCD in average shape be worth $300?

Just my opinion. I don't like how vague the seller/trader is describing his gun. "new board" Is it a new LCD board? If it is then it's a VERY rare gun as a "new" LCD board hasn't been made since 2002. Find out what type of a board it is (IR3, Predetor, etc...). Most boards will tell you how many shots have been fired through it. I'd get that info too. Also, make sure the battery isn't shot on it. a 2k2 LCD with the original rechargable battery may be on its last legs. And obviously, get some good pictures of it. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. Sent him pm on the board and he mentioned it had new batt in ad. It does seem odd he wouldn't mention what board was put in, most do in ads.

Well, newest offer is a PM5:

How's this compare to the 2k2 LCD? No thrilled over red, but can always use it as stepping stone to something better. Still waiting on message back from LCD guy on the board.

Well the guy with Angel isn't answering me back so I'm considering the following two offers Ion with ups for even trade of my Tac-8:
http://automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=199858
And Red PM5 (w/ no eyes) for my Tac-8 and $100:

I know neither are Angel's, but you guys seem knowledgable and helpful enough to give me your opnion on those two deals.
I appreciate it!

Thanks, but the Ion offer above was better deal for me. Looks like PM5 must have gone to someone else, the guy is not responding back all of a sudden, but has read my pm's. Think I'm going with Ion deal above. Either way Ion would be easier to trade/sell later than my Tac-8 has been.

I've decided I am not interested in Ions anymore. Looking for the cash sale, Angels, Promasters, PM5s etc...
I'd really like an Angel, but anything close to its performance, quality, etc.. will work.
