I cannot get my fly to have a consistent velocity at the crono. Im using a size matched orbium my LPR is set to 50 and my dwell is at 9. One problem is Ive lost the gasket sealing the breach to the body, could this cause at +-15 FPS? Or should I just raise my LPR pressure and see if that helps? Oh and input pressure to the gun is b/w 450 and 500, dont have a good enough guage to get it exact on the spot but I got it close.

Oh yeah, its very hard to get the gun up to 295-300 fps without the velocity screw uncomfortably screwed out.

Firstly, you need to get a new gasket. It is imperative to have this gasket in order to achieve the most consistent readings. I believe that your LPR might be set too low also. Try to add shim or two and see what you get. Your dwell should be fine, I just think that it is an LPR issue. Add one and check your LPR. It should be around 55+psi.
Hope it helps. Good Luck!

Thats what I thought, its just there was a thread on recomended settings that Ken posted and it said 50 PSI for the LPR. I plan on getting the gasket soon just havent had the chance yet. But I will raise it back to about 55 PSI and see if that helps. Thanks for the reply.

The gasket will greatly help to maintain a stable velocity. As for the LPR, only raise it if the gasket doesn't help much. Ken suggested 50 psi because some people were complaining that the Fly had "kick". Hope to help.
Thanks
