I have read the A1 Manual very carefully and I had some questions concerning the Detents & Eyes maintence as well as the Ram maintence.
I would like to ask the MTs why WDP went with rubber detents? The old plastic ones worked fine and lasted for ever. Moreover why they placed them in such way that the user has to remove so many parts to check or clean them? From what I have read in the manual you have to remove the mini regulator assembly and then you have access to the eyes and detents.
Also to gain access to the ram you have to remove the frame which I think is exactly what was going on with the G7.My question is why do you think WDP did not relocate the safety of the ram so the user doesn't have to remove the frame? For example it could be relocated on the upper part of the body. Was it an engineering problem?

Thanks for your time and all this is just questions not criticism!

Angel for Life.

Thanks again for an amazing Marker!

It is very easy to say that WDP could have just put the ram in the top of body, but take a second and try yourself to design that. I think you run into a few design issues. The devil is in the details, it always is. WDP's design is proven and I think its reliablilty speaks for itself.

I'm not sure about the material selection for the detents. It is a reasonable question, however I would not assume because the detents are rubber that they will wear quickly. Enjoy your new angel. I know you are not bashing the gun, you raise some good questions.

Hi hodge1

Concerning the ram probably it was design issues. But with the detents I would like to hear a MT answer. As you said by the selection of the detents material we cannot say that it will wear quickly.I am basically more concerned why they made more complicated the eye and detents cleaning procedure.

I owned and shot every Angel generation and I can say that every new marker takes huge steps towards perfection.

Cheers!

I have the same issues with going with rubber detents. But you don't have to remove the reg to clean the eyes or change the detents. You only have to remove the reg if you care replacing the eyes. Bob @ FMA told me that yesterday.

So maybe I made a mistake when I was reading the manual.Cleaning the eyes and detents can be done with just removing the rubber patch infront of the A1?Can this be confirmed by a MT? Thanks!

Bob @ FMA confirmed it with me. You just unsrewed the allen screw on the the exhaust side(left side looking at the front) and the cover will slide right off.
