So what are your choices for the lightest Angel One setup?

I'm going with a Crossfire 68/4500 tank and Vlocity loader. I need a 68/4500 tank.

I'll be using my Dye Ultralite barrels also.

a stiffi or orbium would be lighter than the UL. Id also look at the J&J kit. also if you really were looking for the lightest setup possible, id use a 45/4500. that would be straight gangster lol

Angel One
Stiffi Switch Kit
HaloB
45/4500 Centerflag or Crossfire

of course if you live in europe there's the Stako bottles :P

I say go with the MacDev, light and a great recharge, what more can you ask for.

Sly or Stiffi barrel kit,
Reloader
Stako tank with a good reg, like the crossfire (heavy) or the MacDevs (haven't used myself, but hear good things). That would weigh next to nothing.

I would have used a MacDev bottle. However, I noticed Ken Crane recommend Crossfire in another thread.

golobulus

macdev gladiator is definitely lighter than the crossy

how are the new barrels going to be? have they come out with an official weight on them yet? they look comparable to all the 2 piece barrel kits i.e. redz pepper sticks, macdev matchsticks, oribiums, uls, etc..,

would have to get a .689 back though.

its a matter of a few ounces, it really doesnt matter.

Angel one
Stock barrel since they're lighter than UL...
VLocity (fastest force fed hopper out there that's made for tourney ball (not q-loader for instance))
45/45 LP Crossifre tank

'bout as light as you can get without sacraficing top performance...
I mean you could get a 4oz co2 tank...and a gravity fed hopper...and use no barrel at all...that's be REALLY light...but you'd be retarted to even try that with the A1...lol...after one shot...there goes your new marker...paint everywhere, internals frozen...etc. lol.

yeah a halo B should not be used for "lightweight" setups since halo b is FAR FROM lightweight

Here's an idea.....Wait until you get it! Unless you've got one already then my point is moot.

I'll have mine sometime next month probably (bought from fixmyangel) and then I can weigh it with my asa.

The stock infinity barrel on my 05 Speed only weighs 5-6 oz so I don't think there is much weight savings to be had by switching the stock barrel out. I don't know how much the stock barrel on the ONE weighs.

The tank is where I'm going to see the biggest difference. My current tank (ACI Bulldog) weighs 3lbs! I'm going to buy a MacDev Legionair soon due to its weight of 2.1 lbs. That's a 15oz weight savings. That's something I'm going to feel!

I have a Halo B custom painted hopper (grey w/black skulls, skeletons) that turns more heads than me showing up naked so I'm not going to be switching to a different/lighter hopper any time soon. Besides I really like the performance of the Halo. It also looks better than lots of other hoppers out there. Egg? Please, it's hideous!

Well now, you sure had a lot to say even though you told me to "wait."

It's fun to speculate, isen't it? It's fun to think about possible setups and how one might make the most of the Angel One's features. :)

Also, I demand pics of that custom painted Halo B! :) :devil1:

just my thoughts

Angel 1
stiffi switch(just for the lightness)
McDev 45/4500, or crossy 45/4500
empire b with a 9v batt. instead of the 4 AA or the 6 AA

that would b a super light set-up

Um, did you just say "gravity"? What is gravity? I think I heard something about it a long time ago.....:devil1:

While we're time traveling why don't we all switch back to 12gram cartidges. Now that's savin' some weight! :tunes:

Didn't know that. I've never heard the term Stako before. My bad. :notsure:

www.wdp.tv states that its 7.2 inches long excluding barrel. Pull out a ruler or tape measure. You'll be astonished.

FINALLY! Someone mentions the Guerrilla Air. Flows as fast and consistent as a crossfire and is about half the weight. They use the lightest carbon fiber tank available w/ 5 year hydros.

I just got on WDP's website (http://www.wdp.tv/) and saw all of the new pics. Amazing!

With the barrel it weighs only 2.43 lbs. My setup w/gun and tank will only weigh 4.53 lbs. Can't remember what my halo weighs.

This is a dramatic weight savings over my previous setups.

I'm losing sleep at night waiting for my ONE to ship!

you would have to change your name to irocktheone :D

ill use a warpfeed w/halo and a 5 liter scuba-tank pluss a strainless-steal barrel... ;)
and of course only 20pods of paint on my back... since im a front...

Yeah, I've thought of that. I wish there was a way to change my name without starting a new account/profile.

Just for the record, "There can be only ONE" is my tagline. Don't nobody steal it!

what you could do, is take off the on'off and put on the legion air push button reg on. It would be lighter than the guerilla air.

Ok here's what you do: Buy an Xbox 360 and use the $200-$300 savings on the better system as a down payment on the ONE.

See, it's about using your noodle!

people...

aside from a straight steel tank, crossfires are the heaviest presets on the market. Honestly the regs on them arent good enough for the weight that the bottle has.

I have an angel preset, one of the lighter tanks, works fine, reg is made by guerilla air...

mac devs are also really light bottles.

Crossfire sucks! Thank god ATF took mine away in LAX, otherwise i wouldnt have ever got an angel preset.

Heavier can mean safer with compressed air tanks. The old Global Composites International tanks Crossfire formerly used were lighter, but ended up being recalled under a safety campaign.

Tank construction is a BALANCE between weight and strength.

i think a 45/45 set up would be good but after my first day of use with a 45/8200 I used all the air with 4 pods and on hopper. i want to go to a 45/45 but
I think yhr lpr needs tweeking. The gun is great, i like it as much as my DM6 but it'e WAY louder. The A1 shoots straiter thoe.
