BNIB Fly...Just got it and it won't pass eye test?

like it says, pulled it fresh out of the box did the eye test and nuthing...... Lazer eyes came on and everything. Check for blockage and they are clean as hell... i mean §§§§ they gotta be...the marker has not even cycled one paintball! Im guessing the ribbon was damaged when it was put together?

Sorry about that. I had the same problem the eyes come on but they don’t read any thing breaking the beam right? Mine was the board, but every one thought it was the eyes. What I would do is call WDP first and talk to some one Owen was very helpful. I would do this first because eyes are not covered under warranty because they are a perishable item, that’s what my Tec told me any way. But as long as you let WDP know first and its brand new out of the box WDP will cover it. You just will have to go back and forth a while with WDP and the Tec if it is the eyes. My Tec argued with me over the eyes because he did not want to fix them for free. But when he found that it was the board he was nice again.

ok....i just did the eye test on my back up g7 and its not reading ether????? WTF is going on? Am i doing the test right?

So when the marker says drop ball and you drop the ball in it, it does not do anything? If that is what it is doing my angel was doing the same thing.

i appreciate the enthusiasum <--sp?, but your not helping my problem. Well i looked closer and when i drop the ball in the breach for the test the eyes are not glowing? wtf?

So you power up the gun and put the LCD board into EYE TEST and it says DROP PB and when you drop a paintball it still says DROP PB?

If the gun is NIB make sure you charge it fully before use...sometimes it will have power when it is shipped and it might even say its full...but its probly not. charge it then try again....and no need to use an actual paintball...just use your finger lol

LOL if you never saw the LCD read 'drop pb' then you were NEVER really in the eye test mode.

Make it so the LCD says 'eye test' THEN enter the eye test mode by pressing the lower button ...THEN put your finger all the way down to the eye.

THEN if nothing happens you got problems.

Another way to see if it's reading it to simply turn the marker on..let it boot up into live with the eyes on by defualt. put finger in breach and pull trig... if you hear the noid click then it should be working. (as long as it DOESNT click when your finger is out)
