In this post from PGI, near the bottom, it states that the Angel ONE will be selling for $800 in Chicago.

Is this true?

It says rumor mill so I would take it that it's just a rumor and most likely wont be selling for 800.

The phrasing is abit ambiguous. But they got to be talking about the etek...because I do not believe the new Angel will be selling for that much.

they will be not long after their release on many website stores

edit:of course not right away...but after a couple weeks they will drop a ton....web stores do that crap all the time...buy like 30 of em and get a big price break then undersell us paintball stores by over 100 $...it's a freaking CRIME...really whish wdp would regulate that.
hard for us stores to sell their guns when online crappy stores undercut us...

and all they are is a room with a phone ,PC, and fax machine that takes on order and fax's it to national paintball(NPS) (or other distributor) who drop ships it

pbgear.com doesnt just drop ship, they have a HUGE warehouse, so thats really bias. What really kills it for the store owner is the free shipping if you order over a certain amount, the cheaper prices AND the lack of having to pay sales taxes.

and also like I said...SOME sites are just offices that drop ship ...others might have a warehouse but the difference is the same...they are not an actual store you can walk into...so they have a lot less overhead costs to cover...enables them to sell cheaper as well.

also if you walk into a store and purchase you aren't paying shipping either.

edit: and they only have a warehouse to store all their stuff is cuz they distribute for multiple sports so there is thousands and thousands more products not related to paintball so of course they have a huge warehouse... if you only supply paintball you could keep it all in a garage lol

lol, prolly true, although, pbgear moves a ton of stuff, including paintball, but yea, the tax thing is what kills the store front shops

actually web stores dont really drop the price THAT much; its mostly just people on pbn or wherever that actually make the price drop

I too think they are talking about the etek, but to bad the writer didn't do a very good job at making some stuff clear. It says coming in at 800 meaning the etek will be at 800 and will give the new Angel 1 competition. Anyway a MT is not going to confirm a rumor on some pb forum so might as well give it up and just wait and see what happens. If it's going to sell for 800 then its going to sell for 800, so either wait and see if the rumor is true or get the new gun and be happy with it.

well psp chicago is almost over and i haven't seen a "OMG I GOT MY ANGEL 1" thread on pbnation so i'd have to say the rumor is FALSE.

LOL or the fact that WDP was not at the Chicago event....or at least i missed them if they were there....I went on thursday...so maybe they showed up later. Anyone know for sure?

Also if you are waiting for a tech to answer this you might be SOL.

An MT is WDP-certified Master Angel technician...they are not sales reps and might not have full pricing info.

And even if an MT DID have all the pricing info they probably wouldn't be allowed to divulge info like that over forums...similar to how they could not leak A1 pics....they would get in trouble.
