I think it is faster, here's why. The Cheetah board has some good logic and response timing with great max feed rate. Its code reads eye or in this case an intellifeed signal and adjusts the current to the motor to meet that rate of feed necessary to keep up with the markers ROF. The Intellifeed signal to cheetah is real time pulse in the milliseconds. So the cheetah is getting the most accurate feedback on what it needed. Bonus is you still have eye logic for empty hopper or lost intellifeed signal. The Cheetah doesn't care where it gets it logic signal from as long as it is present. So I think no other means is possible to get real time synchronized signal needs to the cheetah.

any other opinions? I am thinking along with Mavrick, b/c i think that the chetah board will operate the motor at a faster speed upon receiving a signal, but someone please correct me if im wrong.

Trigg had both already, ask him how it performs.

I think the only other board that has the features and speed like the Cheetah is an Angry. You can get these through the MT's. So I guess it is called an Angry FBS board.:pointandl

not to jack your thread or anything but where can i get a intellafeed kit for a halo.Right now Ken at www.performanceangel.com and BNob at www.fixmyangel.com are selling them for $50 for the kit itself and about $35 for the install (that is if you do not install it yourself).
They do not have them listed on their sites yet, you'll have to call or email them for more specific info.
