Ok... I'm wanting to go remote w/ my speed 05. (starting with basic from factory setup) could someone list off all of the components I need, from the gun to the tank? I'm still waiting for my drop forward... so you can leave out that part... I just don't want to get somethin too cheap in between the gun and tank, and then regret it later...

This is currently what I'm looking at for the hose setup...

All you'll need is the ASA that should be on your drop. I have a feeling you will find it to be an unbalanced set-up because with a remote, you usually need to use a stock to help sholder the paintball gun.

Regardless, the remote and a harness that can hold the tank on your back will be all you need. Always good to get a remote that has a slide-check. Those are really nice to have on a remote set-up.

Decided against getting the remote setup for now...

Unfortunately, I think I have the shutdown issue... so I'll have to send the board off for an upgrade...

It'll fire fine for a bit... and then it'll just stop shooting... on/off and it's up and running again... Has anyone gotten a new 05 and NOT had this issue?

The owner of this pantball store bought a speed board when he put eyes and stuff on his LCD and his gun did the same thing...we at 1st thought it was shorting out but we changed the battery and it never turned off again during play.

EDIT: back on topic: Micro coiled remotes are the way to go if your getting one...small and no tangels on anything especially in woods ball.

just a question ....why do you need a drop forward if you are gonna use a remote ?
