Hi yall,
I've got a G7 fly Arsenal. when I set it up with a 68/45 HP PMI tank i had to adjust the regulator on my G7 all the way IN to bring the fps DOWN to 275. My question is, can I adjust my dwell which is currently set to 11, DOWN to 9 or 10 and then adjust my regulator UP to reach the 275 FPS needed?

Basically my regulator set screw on my G7 is turned just about as far IN as it will go and it is still not DOWN to the 275 fps limit I need.

Thanks

I don't see why not, just as long as when you turn the dwell whichever way, there is an adjustment to the input.

Try and just see what settings work for you. Just watch for FPS, FSDO, and air consumption!

yeah, thats the other thing , I have a regular G7 also and it seems to use less air then my G7 Fly with the same dwell settings.

Is your tank low output? high output with make the fps very high causing you to have to turn it down all they ay to stay under 300fps.

I have a HP Tank but I use the same tank on my regular G7 with the same dwell setting of 11 and I had to turn the regualtor on that marker up. On my G7 fly Arsenal I had to turn my regulator on the marker ,that also has dwell setting of 11, down.

Do you have a high pressure reg? If not you should get a low pressure tank or get your tank changed to low pressure. That will bring the fps down and will wont be as hard on the parts.

Thanks for your input everybody!

Anybody else got any ideas or opinions?

Thanks,
Mike

i do! each reg is different ... some can handle and some cant. you obviously have one of each. your g7 can take it ... your g7 fly cannot. if you are really liking your tank at HP ... then i would say get a cp adaptor and a new better reg (cp or aka or something that can handle hp)

either that or you can buy the spring stack and have your tank converted to lp.

i am currently running my arsenal fly with the dwell at 9 and it performs great. played a tourny this weekend and had no problem and the radar gun picked me up at 22 bps witha fully legal non bouncing gun

Thats what I did today. I adjusted the Dwell From 11 to 9 that brought my avg fps reading in a string of 32 from 385 to 265. So i actually had to turn my gun reg up. I hope my reliability stays the same but by the sounds of "unstable's ", gun it should be fine. Thanks everybody for their input. Problem solved:cheers:
