Sup,
I just got a Halo and the little bastard won't go in my feedneck and it's pissing me off. It's just way to tight. So what do I do? I'm a little nervous to shave it down because I don't want to mess it up. Should I buy another one? Any ideas will be most appreciated.
Thanks

Your best bet would be to apply a little bit of grease to the Halo's feedneck first. Smear it on the feedneck buit only use a very little. Then try to screw it into the feedneck by spinning it into the feedneck. You'll find that the grease will help and it should slide right in. If you use a little grease, it will still stay tight when you screw the feedneck closed.

An aftermarket clamping feed neck makes life a lot easier.
checkout the CCM and the REDZ ones.
But if your stuck with the stock one for a while, then yes a little grease will help, make sure you screw the hopper in/out clockwise.
sry trig, but had to add to your suggestion, but ive seen a few peeps screwing there hopper in/out anti-clockwise and losening there feedneck.

Hey,
I tried what you guys said with the grease and turning clockwise but it still doesn't fit. The little rubber thing in the feedneck gets shoved around when I try and put in the loader and it will not fit in. Any other ideas?
Thanks

Grease works for me (also remember too loosen the collar). If this is still giving your grief you could:
A. sand the neck of the Halo down
B. buy a new locking feedneck

Yo LT,
I think most people that use the combo you described (me 2) have had this problem. I created a thread on my situation (same as yours) and fellow AOGers really helped. The bad news is that I spend a lot of time with the 100 grit SP trying to get it to fit. Finally, I got it to fit, but still is a pain in the ass to setup everytime.
The solution I came up with (along with others) is BUY A NEW FEEDNECK! It will save you a considerable amount of time. CCM No-rise works like a charm on both of my high end guns. Yes the breech will open also!!
Best wishes!

this is what you do. get a piece of sandpaper and sand the outside just enough to get it to slide in with a little tension. and if you want the balls to feed faster sand the inside of the blue feeder part.to do all this takes about 10 minutes.after a while if you use grease it will start to eat the indide of your hopper and when it gets hot it will seep into your gun. i know, i am a mechanic.

What i do is take the ruber ring and the put of the feedneck that srews down on the hopper then put it in with the ruber around the neck of the hopper. Then put it in the gun as one peice.

I'm not sure about the G7 fly, but the older angels came with 2 sets of o-rings. Try getting some smaller o-rings to put in there. When I had my 05 speed I had the same problem, but when I switched to the smaller o-rings it was fine. Good luck man.
Oh, if you do get an aftermarket feedneck the Hybrid Hedlock is awesome, I got it with my G7 and I love it.

Speeking of help with the feed neck how do I remove it on a G7 Fly the diagrams dont show how, and my tinkering hasnt helped either.
All I wanna do is use my new neck clamp.
Strap wrench turn counter clockwise.

the best salution to this problem is to have WDP use bettor feed necks, there should be no reason for these tedious little problems when you are paying over $1,000 for a marker

i used a belt sander to get my halo to fit but be very careful cause that plastic seems hard till you take a power tool to it.
Took my stock feedneck and threw it in the trash, bought a clamping feedneck and have never had another problem with it.
