...So I heard from a guy who knows someone (you know how that goes) that the Angel One will feature user programmable firing modes right out of the box. If so, that's gotta be one of the most badass things ever. Anyone care to confirm, deny, or otherwise elaborate on this?

Yeah, I spoke with Bob @FMA today about that very issue and he told me he didn't see any reason anyone would ever put an aftermarket board in it.

Cool...sure but not new. The LCDs had 26 fire modes and 4 were programmable.

True, but only if your board was unlocked and you had the datalink kit...but I don't think that the adjustable parameters from then would compare to what is possible now. The programmable options are supposed to be up to par with that of aftermarket boards out now that allow you to program modes (ramp, ramp percentage, activation point, etc.)

Ah yes...I forgot...I had the datalink. And good point about the programmable options. I look forward to seeing this baby.

i have an lcd angel and my borad is unlocked. i also have the sexy angel program.

bro, I kept hearing you guys talking about programmable board. I wonder how you unlock your board and play around with the software? Is there any kit outthere allow me to do so? If there is please let me know where can I purchase them. Thanks

We are talking about the Angel LCD.....the Angels from 2000-2002

I hope they come out with a board for G7 FLY that is the same as the A1 just to hold me off till i can get a A1.

in PGi this month it says the board comes with free software and a USB2 link..............
