They seem to be similar guns, but I cant decide which to get... is it more of personal preferance? Or is there any major differences between the two markers that I have missed?

well the gat runs off a 9v and has no lcd screen. the fly has more extras with that board. the gat also has a clamping feedneck and the breech lever is different. other than that, nothing major.

k thanks I think id put a tadao board on it anyway though so the lcd wouldnt matter to me and id like the 9v better so maybe the gat would work better for me....

Does the fly have some sweet modes to make it shoot ridiculously fast?

Does the fly have some sweet modes to make it shoot ridiculously fast?Nope, they pretty much have the same modes. You might have slightly more options on adjusting things like dwell but other than that, they are just about the same.
BTW - You can sure get G7 Flys for freaking cheap now. Last time I saw them they were around $800-$850 BRAND NEW. Not a bad deal at all for a nice gun.
