Just bought Dark Angel LCD have ???

The board is locked and I'm not sure what to do. I'm not about to buy the data link. I don't see a reason.
Is there anything I can do to fix this problem and get some of the firing modes back.
The board also seems like it doesn't light up all the time. Not sure if this means its bad or not. It still has semi-auto mode so all is well there.

I don't believe I have any other problems with the gun but maybe if there are any suggestions.
