Im probably going to love this gun but am going to wait until the first generation / batch have been used live and all the kinks worked out... I did the whole bought the first day it came out thing with the 03-04 Speed... I was lucky to be one of the people who didnt have issues with it but feel that the 05 and 06 are much stronger platforms with a better foundation...
Who knows, I may still pick this one up...

anyways, I was looking at the teaser image and dont think that it is of the new angel. It looks like a fairly quick photoshop photo done up...
First off, the dollar bill was done awesome...
Next, the border of the gun looks choppy like the background was taken away. Stock G7 image?
It really looks like a stock G7... Here me out...
The dollar bill or gun can be resized to be as large or small as they want to give the illusion that they are the same size (Free Transform tool)
TRIGGER FRAME: 45 frame with new grips (that may be real)
STOCK REG: same as the speeds and g7's nothing seemed to change there
BODY: g7 look with an exagerated tail piece, rounded off barrel area (smeer tool easily does this effect)
FEEDNECK: photoshoped onto the g7 pic
Eye area looks a bit different that is the only thing that fools me...

just a hunch that we may actually SEE SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAN THE TEASER IMAGE.
Wouldnt that be exciting and throw all of us for a loop.
Can anyone who seen it already confirm that it looks different than a mini g7?

I don't think he meant a different kit than the one that comes with the marker. He means can he get the barrel kit that comes with the marker seperately...to use on a G7 Fly for instance.

I'd just like to thank WDP for making a barrel kit and marketing it with their new marker that is 100% USELESS. I and I know alot of other people haven't used bores above 689 in FOREVER. I can't remember the last time I didn't use a 685 for that matter. And the smallest bore in their kit is 691??

100% marketing ploy that is worthless.

I don't know what kind of paint you're using, but I've never even USED paint that small..... (685) All of the paint I use now (locally, etc) is larger than 689.

And I'll bet that the majority of ballers out there use average size paint. Which makes WDP's kit 100% USEFUL.

Last time I played, we were all shooting .693, and larger. This was at the first Fox 4 Paintball big game. The RP was huge...

Well I'm shooting draxxus paint in SC and a couple other brands. Maybe draxxus makes their paint small but that is the size I've been using for months. Every case I buy...paint goes in that sleeve first and its always slightly loose.

I'm not trolling but IMO WDP is a smart company...which means if they're gonna add a barrel kit to a gun it should at least be useable...and with the paint I've been using a 691 is useless...not to mention the bigger bores.

I work in a paintball store in south Florida. The owner works for procaps direct which means we sell all draxxus paint, nxe gear, and vforce goggles. Draxxus doesn't make their paint small. it's all .689 so I don't see why there is a problem with this new barrel. What kind of barrel are you using?

I've been shooting Draxxus for a while now, and they are small--I've been shooting them through .684 and .686 barrels. Some of the RPS paint, I've experienced, were larger and I had to shoot Allstars through .694 or higher. Regardless, a .691 barrel is not useless. You can use it to shoot anything smaller than .691. If you want to be perfect, then just buy one or two or three smaller barrels to get a full range of barrels. If this new Angel didn't come with any barrels, you'd have to go and buy some anyway.

Using a CP...but I don't know...maybe the fields up here get smaller paint for some reason...but its all 685 stuff I assure you. I guess it doesn't really matter since there are enough barrel sets out there but it seems pointless to advertise a barrel set with the gun but then you gotta buy more in order to cover the sizes.

you guys are shooting some small paint. smallest ive used was 687 and that was a while ago. i use 691 and above all the time now. 689 sometimes gets used but not much and my 684 damn near never gets used. i will say that they do need to get some smaller bores though ... i think 684 689 691 and 695 would be the most useful to everyone.

In Alaska I can't get away with anything smaller then 693 if I go 689 it will start having barrel breaks like crazy. Using various paints example severe, xball, zap. All depends on the climate but I could never see using anything smaller then 689 just incase you get a swollen ball.

Haven't used Draxxus in a bit, but I do routinely run a .689 on the wpn stuff I've been shooting. When I shot chronic and evil, I was running a .693 and a .695, so along those lines, the kit is perfect.
Simple solution is picking up one or two barrels in smaler bores. If you're asking about these sizes, I'm betting you would have bought a barrel kit anyways, which makes the one that comes with the gun into kind of a bonus.

I've seen an actual, real picture. Trust me, it's gorgeous.

I saw the .pdf file that WDP sent to the Master Techs.

The milling is unlike anything you've seen on an Angel.

I have had a play with a couple of the new Angel One (black dust and a fade) I would not compare it to Dye milling at all, more like the milling WDP is well known and loved for but just taken to the next level…. For sure WDP have gone a big step forward with this marker in both the internal layout and the looks department, but thankfully it still stays true to the Angel generations gone before. God forbid the angel would loos it’s great personality and just mingle in with all the two toobers out on the market.

Subjective opinion is just that....what I stated was what it looked like TO ME. To me, the first thing that came to my mind upon seeing the milling was "That looks like a DM6."

First of all, did you not see that I had previously stated it was a beautiful marker?

Second of all, I did state that it still has WDP's own "flair" or style to it, which, is a very good thing.

Never did I state it would get lost in the fray. There is no mistaking it is an Angel. It is WDP.

Hmmmm...

Actually, that is not exactly right. That is how my G7 Fly is piped also;
however, from the pictures of the A1, it would seem the front grip is shorter (higher up) and closer to the rear Asa adapter. These factors would contribute to the bend being more severe.

Maybe a front 45 degree fitting and a rear 45 degree fitting , with a real short macro line between??

i made a quick little compare of the g7 and A1. i just based it on the frame. I still think it is off.

Little off topic just seemed this would be the best place to post it.

Personaly I think the Angel 1 looks really nice, BUT is it just me or by first glance it look like a "mid" range gun, Personally if I walked in to a Paintball shop and knew nothing about paintball, i would pick out Egos and DM6s as "pro" guns and the Angel 1 as a "mid/low" range marker. Could be just me but would like to hear what you guys think.

Could be, simply judging from photos, but I did show some buddies at school photos of DM6, ego and Angel 1 and they all thought the Angel one was a much lower price bracket than the DM6 and Egos, and where shocked when I told them it was $1300, just saying from what i've seen in the photos it looks like a "lower" range gun even though its the second best gun out there (juding from what i've read, opinion may change once I read some reviews) falling behind the SL 66.

the Ga+ is not the best...its actually worse because it comes with a DYE barel HAHAhah

jk...its still an angel...point is that angel are the best....Gat is just a carved 06 speed and you know it :P...and a g7 fly is better than a speed...

just cuz a ga+ might be pretty ( i personally think its horendous) doesnt make it better performing than a g7fly :P
