As long as my Dark iR3 has a full 4 bars' charge, its golden. As soon as it slips down to three though, I have problems. Within minutes, the display IMMEDIATELY drops down to two bars, then one, then just dies.

Im planning to just replace my battery at the same time i got an opto board for the Dark, but what i'd like to know is wether or not the symptom is indicative of a battery problem or perhaps something worse - I dont want to replace my batery only to discover that the problem still exists.

Opinions are welcome; Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem with my LCD....and the battery was the culprit.

I had similar problems with my IR3 C&C MEM2. While shooting I could see the battery meters 4th bar blinking, then go down to 3 bars and then the marker would just die. Turning the marker on again I would be able to fire a few times before it would die on me again.
Charging the battery didn't help so I changed the battery pack and now it works just fine.

When my battery pack gave up I actually bought one from Ballistic Batteries. Besides the wrapping being a bit to thick (had to remove one layer) it's been working great. Played a tournament last weekend and had no problems at all.

Hello, I had the same problem with my Dark IR3 and it was determined by warped to be the board. But, of course they fixed it for nuthin.
