low fps - can not get over 220 fps

My problem is can not get over 220 fps :notsure: with a cutom built angel, the fps is very inconsistent too - here is the info:

1) i checked the mini reg its got 8 washers and thats not the problem - i turned some flat and its same. in fact it shoots the same with only 2-4 as a spring.
2) the gun has a speed board, a board with 4.8v battery - conversion - the dwell is #2 12ms
3) the valve is new pmi with reverse seal - i used them before no problems
4) the ram has a ti hammer its a speed ram its set 65-70 psi - i have done this before with no problems
5) i check fps on other my other guns, so the chrono works great.
6) has stock mini reg, utlizing a 800 psi cross fire tank. I use this tank on other guns it works great.
7) the speed is set to mod2 - that should not affect fps?
8) the barrel fit is good swap barrels with other guns used more then one.

i figure the lpr is bad. there is a warped volumizer on the lpr side (the only side with parts!). i run all my guns at 11-12 dwell or lower is it too low? maybe the valve requires a higher dwell? nex setting is 19ms thats seems way high.

note: after rasing the dwell and changing to #4 setting the gun is shooting 245 psi and much more consistant.

ok i have increased the dwell up to 17ms and tried setting 4 in the soeed board04. max is same 240 fps.

i rearanged the spring stack - no help
i switched mini reds - no help

could it be the cobra 1 piece flash tank?:stooges:

I check the ram strock its correct - this gun has a speed ram - they are interchange able?

Again the gun is super consistant shoots great and fast just 245 psi max!

I had a similar problem. It turned out that the tank itself had a bad regulator.

What this problem means is that your gun is not building enough pressure. This will help diagnose the problem: gas the gun up, fire it, and let it sit for a minute. Then fire it over the chrony. Any change?

If YES: Something is wrong with the path between the ASA and the ball. SOMEWHERE inside your gun, something is restricting the flow of air. It's like a kinked garden hose. Check out the regulator and flash tank.

If NO: It's most likely a problem with the tank. Try to borrow a tank from someone, or use an extra one if you have it. Any change?

I realize that you have already explored most of these. My main point is that you should see if waiting helps.

Speed ram will not work correctly in an iR3. The iR3 is a HP marker, LPR needs to be 95-100psi. Also, you will need to have a 3v noid to work with that battery.
