i have a 2003 speed that is leaking from the hole above the flashtank.after doing some research i thought that it could be my lpr preasure was to high. i dont have a tool kit yet so i was just removing shims to lower the preasure.it had 5 at first and i kept removing one by one and it never stoped leaking.i bought the gun used and it already had the high preasure mod done so i reversed that by adding a spring stack into the reg.so i decided to take it out agian and see if it leaked, and it didnt. but my velocity was really low. any suggestions on what could be causing the leak? also i already check and greased the orings on the lpr and the flash tank.

I had the same problem on my LCD. I'd wait to get the tool kit so you can see if your LPR is operating at the right psi (6 BAR to be precise). I thought at first my LPR was set to high but it wasn't. I ended up regreasing the LPR cup seal o-ring (be generous with the grease) and it sealed it up. I no longer have a leak coming from the exhaust port (the small hole at the top of the flash tank). I know you said you alread tried greasing it but maybe you can try using a little more and/or replacing the o-ring (I did that as well).

Also keep in mind that the same gun may have a different number of shims in place.

G'luck!
