I just purchased a gently used Dark Angel IR3. It came with an anti chop bolt, fbm Delrin Trigger, Clamping Feedneck, system x rail, and a New Designz ASA.
I still have some money to burn and was wondering what upgrades I should do. I've heard that using a HaloB will mess up the ball detents. I currently have a 9 volt revolution that the seller added to the deal. Will the COPS system + 9 volt revolution be enough to keep the marker from turning into a blender?
Also, are their any board upgrades that will make a difference in performance?

How much money????
The COPS/Sensi was a good system, but not as good as the eyes. If you have the money, maybe look into the laser upgrade!!!
Other than that, your current hopper should work fine!

I paid 515 shipped for the marker, 68/4500 tank, freak back, 9 volt revvy, new batt, couple bolts, couple feednecks.
I use a realoader b on mine .
whats an anti chop bolt? im pretty sure all of them are not supposed to chop anything heh....
I would prolly get a halo or maybe eggII loader.. problem being sometimes the halo pushes the balls to far forward in front of the ball detent and then it will chop ... i would get the rest of the freak (obviously) prolly get a mem6 version of hte cops2 ... hmm other then that u should be ok ... if you REALLY want u can go for the tadao board and eyes but thats another 3-400 bucks or so

okay first off the Dark IR3 should already have Mem6 Cops 2 software in it. If you want to get a board upgrade, get a A4 board w/ the Sensi's it pretty much the same as cops, but they worked out all the bugs cops had. Next if you have the money, like everyone else has said, send it off to get "Fly convereted" w/ the Tadao board and Lazer eyes. That will cost you alot though. Barrel kit is always a good thing to have. IF you go either the "Fly conversion" or the A4 board, a halo will definatly be benifcial. If not, then get a Evolution2 (Egg) w/ the z-board. Have fun with it.

see my gun for sale -- ir3 with speed board it has all these mods and my posts on Ti hammers.
changing to a speed board or A4 board removes 1 cell so the battery is 20% lighter
go to a softface bolt - if your bolt has a hard face its the stock bolt or a cobra bolt - i have then for $15. This either spreads the force out around a large area in the case of a cobra bot or it absorbs some of the force and molds to the ball in the case of a softface bolt.:drink:
Best upgrades are also a simple physics lesson. Replace the brass hammer with a Ti hammer ($25) and reduce the ram pressure to 65psi -/+ 5 psi - u need a tool kit or a pro to do this. The Ti hammer is 60% less mass --> mass x velocity squared = force --> 60% less mass is 60% less force, the gun will have zero kick. The stock angel tends to raise as you fire this mod will keep the gun strait on!:patriot:
use a volumizer to reduce the pressure on the ball increase the volume -ken love the ideal gas law --> PV=nRT:stooges:

Sorry dragonsprayer, but your physics needs a bit of work;)

my physics is fine, i am an engineer, but my comincation skills need work! what did you mean?
See my post in computers: Computers from Warped Systems!! I will donate my cost of advertising or fees to this site!!!

Well, since when is it f=mv^2 rather than f=ma(I think you are thinking of centripetal acceleration where a=v^2/r)? Your 60% less force should still hold true assuming the lighter hammer doesn't cause for greater acceleration. Even so, 60% less force should mean 60% less kick, not zero. Also, your ideal gas law statement is misleading. Increasing the volume only reduces pressure if you keep the number of moles(n) constant, with the way regs work, it will just increase the greater volume to the same pressure.
