Based on this forum name the Angel IR3 is High pressure, however based on the operating pressure setting (550-600 psi) on my Angel AIR reg its low pressure.

what's the definitive answer??

high pressure... the tank pressure on the IR'3 should be high... your reg will then adjust the operating pressure... thats its job :) let it do it lol

MAybe I wasn't clear on my question. I set my angel air reg at about 550-600 psi going into the front reg. My bottle is 1.1 litre 4500psi and as I said I have the angel sir installed.
If I wanted to change over from the angel air to a pre-set reg would I need to go for high pressure or low pressure?

A LP only got max 450 psi out wich is to litle for a Ir3. the best pressure is about 600 but 800-850 psi works fine as well. so Yes it is a high pressure maker :)

This might be beneficial as I also have an old automag which was on Co2 but will alos run on air - HP only though so loosing the angel air and getting a high pressure reg fitted to the bottle would give me the option to use both...

worth a thought for the future...

cheers chaps

On some iR3s a low pressure tank will work, depends on tolerances in the regs that vary from gun to gun. But way more often than not, you will experience shootdown.
As far as 350 running into the gun, I'm thinking you had a gutted minireg or gas thru.

Low pressure on Ir3 is not so bad, high pressure on A4 is problem you can not get the pressure down enough many times. The only difference is the spring tension - most liekly. I switch mini regs, i have LP and HP mini regs for most of guns so I can swap tanks.

see my IR3 for sale its totally tricked out!
