i have a friend that has scractches on the silver since the silver seems to be prone to scratches. they're not deep but just like very light surface anodizing scratches. well what ive seen a few people do is use sand paper at a high level grit not too high then slowly sand off all the anodizing and decreasing the grit to get a smooth finish then using an aluminum polisher/finish polish it. It looks great but just takes an ungodly amount of time to do and well the ir3 has milling that would be much harder to sand evenly. Plus if you dont do it all the way it looks terrible. you either decide your gonna put in the time and effort or just save up for some reanodizing after a while.
hope that expands your options

There is definatly an easier way to take off ano without using any sanding and at most 10 minutes. Sanding is just too hard and time consuming. Plus you can sand to heavy in some spots without realizing it.

well the advantage too sanding is you control the process manually not some chemical and you have to make sure you dont use a anno removing chemical that will damage the aluminum or cause damage somewhere. plus if your gonna strip the anno then you might as well send it in and just get reanodized. but again once you use the gun the scratches are back and you just paid like 200$+

Sodium Hydroxide doesn't harm aluminum if used properly. Make sure to rinse it off and your fine. Surfaces scratchs should be taken care of with polishing compound anyways.

crosscapn: just live with it, who cares about it you brought a paintball gun its not going to be perfect forever. My first angel i got was a black 2k lcd and i put it threw hell and u know what it dont matter cuz its a gun. i know its alot of money believe me, if your not going to use the gun to its potential dont use it at all, paintball guns are made to be put threw hell.

Thanx for the ifo all.I`ll be going with the last bit of advice on this.I was thinkin of re-anodizin her but we`ll just end up flying across some plaing feild somewhere and she`ll get scuffed again.Thanx again.
I agree to leave it alone. If you really want to get the ano off, I heard that Easyoff oven cleaner works great. I'd try it on something not so valuable first though.
Than you can anodize it yourself.

Yeah that easy off oven cleaner really does work.My buddy did it to his pmi3,remember the ones with the black and silver tiger stripes, back in 90`and she polished right up to a shiny silver.

Live with the scratches. Guns are mde to be thrown when your pissed and carressed when you're happy. If you have a pewter gun, use "Sally Hanson Chrome-pewter nail polish" its a perfect match to my Ir3.
