View Full Version : drilling for eyes
so i am getting a speed and have heard sensi in a pain in the a$$, so i was going to have my friend (who is good with machinse) drill my gun for eyes. the problem is that i don't know where to drill it, or how to make sure the holes are perfectly lined up. any exact dimensions for where the holes should be would be great, or a link to somewhere that could drill it for relatively cheap.
Thanks!

theres more to it than just drilling holes for eyes. the body needs to be machined for the eye ribbon, tapped for the eye covers, plug the unused sensi hole, etc...
then theres the cost of the new board, eyes, eye covers etc...
your best bet is to save for the MT fly conversion! theres no guess work, and it will work, and perform like you expect (or better).
if thats not in your budget then stick with the sensi. if its setup correctly it will work just fine!
u don't need to mill for eye ribbon, or tap for screws..
u could go gangsta
and i'm not sure that u do need to plug the sensi...

unless your talking about using one of the garbage glue on kits, then the eye ribbon will break if you dont mill a channel for it, and the eyes wont stay in place without eye covers which require screws to hold them in place.
wit hte board i'm getting, u need dm eyes, so i will need to tap for a screw, but i won't need to mill
also, eblade eyes covers work
