View Full Version : what i and many others would like to see
1. SMALLER! or even double tube. Nine volts work fine, and are more convienent. You can always buy rechargable 9 volts- maybe include one? This could eliminate one of the tubes, I believe.
2. Easier access to the ram. For such a major role in the gun, getting access to it is too hard.
3. Easier troubleshooting. If it breaks, it takes forever to even get it apart.
4. Newer smaller feedneck. Preferably level lock or screwlock, not twist lock.
5. A more affordable price, say, 900.
6. A gun that will not be replaced in 6 months. Seriously, if you want anybody to get the new gun you are coming out with, make sure they can sell their old one for a considerable amount.
7. rail and on/off included. a good one.
8. size of empire2, and much reduced weight.
9. pressure low enough that it shouldn't chop even with eyes on
10. I LIKE HOW the only exposed moving thing on the gun is the trigger. love that.
11. possibly:
•make board smaller
•move solenoid to grip frame
•mount solenoid so that there are still no hoses, but shorter passage ways.

Well the issue with the solenoid in the gripframe is the space. Most gripframes with noids in em, are kind of tall.
The 9v idea is great, but can you get top end angel owners to give up that frikken screen?
If we went to 2 tubes, wouldnt we have an ego (LPR-Valve-Ram Inline)?
Feedneck for sure, of the clamping variety.
eh....
ego's have lcd screen, 9 volt, board, and solenoid in them.
shockers have LED, board, 9 volt, solenoid...
timmies same as ego's.
quests......
they could still make it an lcd screen, and use a rechargable 9 volt.

Better software with user programable modes. Hard to claim the 31 bps with every mode, except one, is capped. Using bounce (tr-22) is not that preferable. Have programable ramp modes and an "unlimited-as fast as the loader can feed mode" would be a selling point. Small and light would make it more helpful to the front players. And, all post suggestions above is good too.

Err, I agree with the LCD and the 9v...but the screen is the size of a stick of dentyne or smaller. As far as the solinoid....good point. I didnt know that.

i think the price is good right now because not long after the latest angel comes out, a newer one comes and brings down the price to around 900...

9v is a terrible idea. it just adds additional costs and work, with no benefit.
definately a smaller lever lock feedneck!
with lower price comes lesser quality. and WDP is about quality
there are 2 levels of angels and both get updated yearly. depreciation sucks but its a fact of life.
including an on/off will up the price slightly (which contradicts your request for a less expensive angel). i think it would be a nice addition to the high end platform, but not included with the speed
exposed moving parts are wrong!! couldnt agree with you more on this 1
why does the board need to be smaller? i dont understand what that would help. the solenoid has a home. hoses are worse than exposed moving parts! why would shorter passage ways be better?

:dito: I totally agree with the last post… Do you lot want an Angel or an Ego/Timmy clone?
If you’re after a cheaper marker go out and purchase a smart Parts Ion.

Haha the Ion's are fairly cheap now too lol. The '06 Speed started at 900 didn't it?

I agree i'd rather have an ego.

LOL...yeah....u can pick up an Ion for $169 now. They must be coming out with a new low end marker and are trying to move the old stock. As far as coming out with new models every year...well markers are unfortunately becoming more like cars...you have to change every year and make some change to say it's new and improved. Depreciation is a good thing as it allowed me to pick up a G7 for next to nothing on Ebay cuz its previous owner wanted a Fly. As far as what I would like to see on the next Angel:
1. Low rise clamping feed neck (I replaced the stock neck in both my 05 Speed and my G7)
2. "old" barrel threads so my existing barrels will work. I didn't buy a Fly or 06Speed because I didn't want to buy all new barrels
3. Better software with more modes and the ability to access/program it from outside the marker with a laptop/PDA. That way we can update the program vs sending it in to have the board flashed
4. Include a On/Off ASA with the marker that can be removed if the user wants to use a drop. I was shocked to learn that I needed to buy something else when I got my Speed. I'd assumed that all I would have to do is slap on a hopper and a LP tank and go spray some paint. This wouldn't add too much to the cost of the marker as WDP would be buying them in quantity so could get a great price.

How about a good manual. You know one that describes modes, operation, maintainance, with good exploded views, step by step instructions ect. Maybe even put it on cd/dvd. There's alot of people that have no idea on how to work on their guns

Agree on the battery replacement, less weight and cheaper to replace. Don't know how scratchfree the paintjob on the new markers (g7, speed 05&06) is but my 04 scratches like hell!

Anno. Not paintjob, anno. Anywho, I completely agree that a new gun should come with an ASA, however, not everyone likes the same ASA. I prefer the Checkit cage-style because its as if it was MADE to fit the bottom of an Angel frame. Some people don't like them because the on/off is rather snug. It's just another thing that is personal preference, and is a little harder to incorporate into a marker.
I definitely agree that all new Angels should come with not only user-programmable software, but the datalink cable required to do the programming. The programming software should be downloadable from wdp.tv. I personally think it is ridiculous to say yes, you can program these 7 modes, but first you have to buy this extra piece which will run you $30 or more.
As far as weight goes... is a few ounces really that bad? We're not talking the difference between a steelie and a fiber wrapped tank here guys... gym membership mod. Give it a go fools.
I DEFINITELY think the feedneck should be a little different. Cam lock or screw lock would be great.

ya got some good ideas, but takeing away the tripple tube would make it not an angel anymore, maby make the tubes smaller(like make the ram the size of a cocker ram) but somehow takeing away the third tube would ruin the angel's angelness

no stacked tube, make the tubes smaller, but dont get rid of the third tube. takeing away the three tube design will take away the angel's angelness. and YES 9VOLTS!!! if i have to wait for one more ellectronic thing to charge when i need it i'm just going to break it. include rechargeiable 9vs for those of us who need them, but dont make it mandatory recharge. w/e with the feed neck, i dont realy care, my halo fits fine in the one they have now, for u cheep egg users, get a halo, ur starveing ur gun.

good to know im not the only one out there that thinks you need a masters degree in engineering to figure out the manuel!! a DVD of an MT taking the gun apart for cleaning and greasing would be amazing and would hepl a lot of ppl out there that are not inclined in those things

zio7 you have some pretty lame IDEAs IMO. after incorperating all those ideas you have into a gun you are left with basically an intimidator which sux ass.
Solonoid in frame = sux...wires and hoses everywhere...
angel has there design down...and it is clean and solid
