Help! Velocity Problems!

I went to the field this weekend 15th of march and was all hyped and ready to use my sweet new Dark Angel LCD 03! Then when I gassed it up and tried shooting a few balls at the shooting range I found that it wouldnt barely shoot! During this time I had set the Dwell/MROF at 13/13(only have a empire reloader) and it sucked...the chrono wouldnt even read it! I coudl literally pick up one of the paintballs and throw it farther! I was so pissed anyways...(wasn't a cheap chrono either) The guys at the place really tried to help me...

First we thought it might have been the reg wasn't broken in yet only 385 shots were made when Warped Sportz first tested it out when they made it...so we shot around to 4500 shots blank air and tried again it still shot like crap...so one of the guys who worked there started reading the manual(he didnt know a **** load about the Angel to start with only one person besides me had one a LED and he couldnt help) So we decided to raise the dwell up to 18...and it at least chronoed to like 100-120fps then we raised it to 24 dwell and got around 150-180 (velocity jumps are a problem too) Then after that we didnt know what to do...we had already had the velocity screw kinda far out and such and everything was working with that but the gun just wasn't putting out...181 was the highest fps I reached...

Also it cant be anything like dirt or stuff cause this gun is freaking brand new unused on the field! I spent my whole paintball day trying to fix the Angel. And I also got the gun on the monday of the past week! I had only had it for 6 DAYS!! I dont have a angel tool kit either...I am really kinda pissed off because I dont know what to do...either I set up a appointment with the paintball doctor or I send it back in to Warped Sportz and let them check it. Its a 1050 dollar gun, the least warped sportz could do is to make sure EVERYTHING would work not just check mechanisms and such. So without and Angel Toolkit I cant check LPR, but not like I'm very much willing to because I never dealt with Angels before(angel noob=me). I'm aware it might be the LPR and I should have it 85-90psi optimal at 87 but you would think Warped Sportz would tune it to that because they say they make sure everything works and things go through lots of checks before they actually send out the guns. I know the gun is not defective completely so just what is it. I would really appreciate the help.

Just gotta keep in mind I dont have a Angel toolkit and I know jack**** about how to unassemble parts on an Angel. Go by telling me things if I was a 5 year old. Sorry I have very little confidence in my self after the time I spent on the gun today with little result...

p.s my tank is a Warped Sportz Air system 68/4500 and i think it preset 800-850 psi also I have no parts on my gun besides stock I used the macro that warped gave me and the asa is just fine I know that and hopper and barrel dont have much to do with my problem but they work well too. Also I want to make the velocity work at a dwell surely LOWER THAN 24 maybe around 16-18 please recommend if you will

UPDATE: Actually I'm almost sure now that its probably the LPR after reading up on it, but I cant check it how horrible is that? I'm gonna go to a store and see if they have an Angel Toolkit. But I would still appreciate any other given ways to handle this situation if its not the LPR even though i'm kinda dead set it is. Please give your thoughts. Also I know that the minireg should be set to a pressure of 500psi whenever I work with the LPR (havent tried anything yet still dont have a kit) and Im confused if I can change that because my tank is preset to put out 800-850 psi...

Most velocity problems are going to be from the LPR. The LPR is located in the left chamber, if you're looking at the front of the gun. You need to have it set between 85-90psi, with an optimal performance of 87psi.

This is in left field...what hopper? Manually load one ball at a time without the hopper and chrony it... What i'm thinking might not be the problem, but I saw this for myself once...

If its a new gun, and has warranty, ship it (or take it there if one is close) back to Warped Sportz.

Your right, they should have made sure it was all setup before sending it out.

Also, make sure you set your Dwell back to 14 or so and screw the mini-reg's velocity screw back in. (Just so they don't try to give you sh_t about it)

Without a toolkit it will be impossible. Low fps, check LPR, ram stroke and snap ring. You need a toolkit! www.angelparts.com is fast and cheap.

Yea I'm going to get an Angel Toolkit! Just wondering if it might be any problem cept the LPR but its probably the LPR. I'll go to this store downtown they are certified wdp techs so they should be of some good help, but i'll just ask some questions and buy a toolkit from them...everything sounds allright from here though thanks...I feel like I had solved my question already in my first post... lol

p.s. Also i still didnt get an answer about when I checking my LPR that I should have my mini reg pressure at 500psi... how am I supposed to change it? I dont know what it is right now but isnt its pressure supposedly the same pressure as the tank preset 800-850 psi?

You can purchase the Guardian from AirAmerica; it's essentially a vertical ASA with gauge and a knob to allow release of air to check recharge. It will tell you the pressure your minreg is set to, and will show you whether the minireg is recharging well after shots, and whether the pressure in the minireg changes from shot to shot. It's been invaluable to me when checking regs and rebuilds.

It won't help with your LPR, though. Need the Angel tool kit for that. COBRA in CA sells it for a good price; got it overnight from them myself to check the same problems with my new 2K3 LCD LE.
