ok first off i did a search and couldn't find any information on my particular problem.

My problem is my velocity is rising over time. Today i went to chrono before the 1st game- 265,267, 268(indoor feild) and then i chronoed again before like the 6th game or so and my velocity had risen up to 303!

If it matters today was the first time i shot my new angel. I put 2038 shots through it, is it possible that the mini reg just needs to be broken in?

By the way I don't have a tool kit yet, so bear with me. Thanks guys!

might be that like you said you have to break it in a little bit, however (having a tool kit would be great) being able to put a gauge on your LPR would be really good right now. The reason I say the LPR is because that's the only place to really monitor pressure on the gun, you need to see if your pressure is rising (obviously it is) and making sure that the LPR is set right is a good first step

thanks Emmit. Would you happen to know the cheapest place to get a toolkit? I got my gun from Mo's and I can't remember how much they cost there.

looks like Mo's lists it at about $50

Brian, did you make sure there are no leaks from the in-line? maybe something on the inside of the reg is causing the reg creep...weird tho cos there isn't a whole lot of stuff inside the in-line reg, just a spring and a couple discs, then teh flash-tank...(broad description)....o well, I TOLD YOU we all need a tool-kit!..LOL...and be sure to be at Hamilton if you are gonna jump on one of the teams for the KD tourney...o, Im gettin my lesbian A.I.R. next Thursday or Friday (it will be in..i bought it saturday)!!

Nope Jonny no leaks. Im not really sure whats wrong. I'm gonna order a toolkit this week and my conquest is coming too. I figure i will just put some shots through it and see if the mini reg just needed to be broken in.

Hey there guys, my team and i practiced over the weekend, and it was the first time i played with my 2003 LCD LE. I shot great, but there was a small problem. My velocity is low, and the gun sometimes is inconsistent. I was adjusting my velocity to fit.
Everytime i chrono it, the first shot will shoot up to 310 fps, then i shoot 4 more times it will be, 270, 260, 250, then up to 275. The other team we were practicing with said, it might need more breaking in, since the reg is new, and the whole gun is new.
So what do you guys think about that?

what is the difference between the 2k2 lcd's and 2k3 lcd's mini-reg?...mine didnt require any break-in period at all..I just got my 2k2 C&C lcd like a month ago (brand new...later part of the year made) and i just put my tank on and it was shooting consistent as it does now....+- 2 ....brian, if you get your tool kit before hamilton, bring it with you...Chris and I are waiting until Jack gets his store open to order our kits....

See that's what im asking, if the gun or the reg needs breaking in. And i never had a 2k2 LCD, so i am not sure on the difference. The problem i had was not big. The inconsistency was very minimal. I would say it was inconsisiten because it had +- 5/6, and im not sure if that's normal with the Angels.

im not sure of the problem or why it rose so much... but then again it is hard to tell without the tool kit. It also seems that there have been many complaints and problems from these 2k3 lcds LE. Hmm....:puzzled:

I had the same problem with my '03, I took it to Warped and they rebuilt the minireg and increased the LPR pressure to around 110. I haven't been able to get it to a chrono yet.

Do you guys think its the mini-reg? Because the air needs to cycle the reg before it settles? This is a guess. What do you all think?

im starting to think that the in-line reg is what is causing everyone so much trouble. maybe a faulty reg use on WDP's part....

you just have to break it in... Just like a brand new pair of shoe

Yeah, i think you really just have to break it in. Not just dry fire, but shoot paint. Just my opinion. I may always be wrong.

When you break in the reg shooting dry fire or shooting paint doesnt change what process goes through the reg...gas goes through it shooting dry fire or paint either way. So if your gonna just break in your gun, dont waste paintballs shooting like 4000 cycles.:rrrright:
