HEy I have only used an eggy 2 y board so im not sure if this is a prob or not with the halo. Bare with me as it is hard for me to explain the problem

I did drop tests with both and the halo only beats my eggy but like 5 ballsMAX( both are stock boards) Also it seems like the halo motor is having a hard time spinning like it seems that something is holding the drivecone back.
FRESH BATTS ARE IN =DURACEL ones..

IS this the way halos are or is their something wrong with mine need to know asap as I have a week warrenty on it.

Thanks again and any help would be greatly appreciated

well if you mean how the drive cone seems like it spins fast one second and the next it doesnt spin as fast tahts normal. like sudden bursts of quickness is normal. i dont fully understand what you mean though

Does the drive cone spin freely when there is nothing in it? If you try and spin the drive cone, can you feel the spring tension?

I havent actually done a timed drop test but before on FULL batts i got something like 17.4bps for my eggy now im using very old batts in my eggy and BRIB batts for my halo and it only wins by like 3-5 balls BUT i will do a timed drop test 2morrow( g2 find watch lol)

wekk i just finished timing it and i took the average of 5 times and used that to divide by 100

I was using 100 balls.......it came out to be an average of 18.5bps

I thought the halo is supposed to be like 22bps with stock board????

I might be wrong here but I thought the stock Halo board was something in the neighborhood of 16 bps. Now if you got a V35 board for it you would see 35 bps or so.

Am I right guys?

Am I right guys?I have researched and the stock out of the box Halo board (Z-Code) is 17-19bps.

A little more on the stock Halo:

• Pros
o Comes stock with the Halo
o Feeds 17-19 out of the box, and
is able to feed a max of 27 on
aftermarket batteries
o Has anti-jam protection for
jammed Halos
o Most efficient battery life
o Easy interface
o Able to be upgraded with future flash revisions

• Cons
o Hard to tell when it’s on (i.e. no visible status unless you press it)
o No programming mode
o Does not detect ramps very often
o Does not have selectable speed cap

ok thanks trigga for the promt reply, I guess my halo it fine.

So im guessing in order to fully maximize the speed of my G7 I would be looking at getting the V35 board

Info on the V35:

The Victory V35 Board

This board was produced by the makers of the Stock Z-Code board, Odyssey, so you are assured that it’ll be tailored to the intricacies
of the Halo. A step up from the stock board, it can set the speed of the Halo within +- 5 bps. It’s one of the cheaper boards, too.

• Pros
o Made by Odyssey
o Consistently feeds 24-25 out of the box, and is able to feed 4 a max of 33 on aftermarket batteries
o Has anti-jam protection for jammed Halos
o Programmable speed
o Easy interface
o Interface is very similar to Stock Z-Code
o Upgradeable flash revisions

• Cons
o Hard to tell when it’s on (i.e. no visible status unless you press it)
o Does not detect ramps very often
o There is a charge for it (usually around $30)
