so anyways ive had my 04 speed fo about 1 year and ahalf and i love it. i refuse to shoot anything other than an angel. so anyways, i got an evolve kit and tried 2 install it, but all i got in wuz the delrin hammer. it shot until i started messin wit the lpr and the shims. so anyways, i put everything back how i thought i found it. so now, i put a max-flo on and the gun wont even shoot. the max flo gases up and the pressure comes on but when i try to shoot my gat, its like the hammer is moving forward a little with each puff of air and it will suddenly shoot like 5 shots and scare the **** outta me and get stuck again. i have cleaned the ram, but i still cant figure this out. could it be the lpr? ive tried adjusting the reg pressure. also, before i put the bolt in, i have to push the hammer back.
also, any1 got tips of how to get stock feedneck off??? i froze my gun 4 liek 10 minutes and tried to use a strap wrench but i broke the strap wrench. someone please help

well ... first off ... to get loctite off (feedneck) use heat not cold ... dont freeze ur gun ...

anyways ... what is ur lpr pressure at? im willing to bet that ur lpr is too low and it isnt letting enough pressure in to let the ram move and the gun cycle ... check ur pressures (all of them) and list them here for everyone to see so they can help u more

if u dont have an angel tool kit ... get one ... although im guessing u have one because u took the lpr shims out and messed w/ them ...

once again ... run thru ur pressures ... ur minireg should be around 300 and ur lpr around 45 (as per evolves instructions) and ur dwell one from the lowest on ur board. you can then lower the minireg pressure a lil and see if it all works ... but ull want lpr around 40-50 and a low dwell so the minireg is usually going to be set at w/e it NEEDS to be set at for teh gun to function normally ... mine is at 250 w/ evolve ive seen lower but thats just mine

okay. thanks for the quick response. i dont have the angel toolkit, but i have a gauge, will this help with the reg pressure? and btw- i have no evolve manual if this makes a diff. anyways, i'll report back shortly

if u have the guage and the lpr removal tool u should be good ... because evolve provides a ram removal tool for the install. check the lpr pressure make sure its running around 45 psi ... any lower and u risk drop off.

also ... u could have a bad lpr w/ horrible recharge rate ... put the guage on ... have the pressure at about 45 psi and shoot a few shots and see how long it takes the lpr to recharge to 45 psi ... it should be very very quickly ... if not u may want a new lpr ..

well, i dont actually have the evolve installed, just the hammer, so i cant check i guess. and i bought the kit used so it was just the kit itself, no tools. also, i belive i found the problem. i have shims, but im missing the last spring stack in the lpr. how can i fix this or will i have to buy new ones?

ull need new springs ... www.fixmyangel.com (http://www.fixmyangel.com) has everything u need ... ull want an angel tool kit definitely ... a new spring stack should fix the problem and get ur gun up and running fully evolved! ... good luck
