OK, I am having an issue with a leak seemingly coming from the exhaust valve and I dont know what to do. To compound the problem, I JUST got it back from an MT form my annual - send it in and get it all looked over and cleaned thing. The MT hasnt gotten back to me in over a week, so I am posting here for some help. Anyone got anything for me?
FYI - I love Angels, but I have never taken anything but the grips off for fear of really messing it up. As much help as possible would be SUPER AWESOME!
Thanks guys.

try shooting a few shots to see if the cup seal will take its seat. also .. check all of your pressures and your dwell and list everything here so everyone nkows what ur running. most likely it will just be a shot or 2 to seal off the valve. or it could just be a little grease needed on the valve. either way not a big deal.
good luck
edit: i used to be teh same as you ... then i tore my gun apart once and its really not a big deal. there arent alot of parts and its a real simple process. on pbn there is a dissasembly guide to an a4 fly that helped me out and its not much of a difference for a g7 ... later

I have shot it a few times...maybe 30-50 dry fires.
dwell is set to 9, the MT told me to set it at that, other then that, I dont have a tool kit or anything to be able to tell you what pressures everything is at. Can I use non-angel grease? say, dow or SP Sleek or Evil Puss?

I just bought a used G7 as a backup marker and it leaked like crazy when I first aired it up. I thought I'd be ripped off badly. However I pulled the valve out (just unscrew the left chamber with a small metric hex key), wipe it down and oil the shaft and grease everything else. Mine no longer leaks. I used non Angel grease. While you have it out you may want to polish the valve shaft (see the sticky about burping problems). Good luck!

is it just as simple as taking off the grip frame and the end plug, taking out the exhaust valve loobing it and putting it all back in? I dont need any special tools or anything, do I?

It depends. On the sticky about burping they pull the entire marker apart and clean everything. However to access the valve and its stem you only need to remove the left plug under the barrel with an allen wrench. pull out the valve and wipe it down. Polish the stem if you so desire. Grease the valve and cap seal and oil the stem itself. The whole evolution will take you less than five minutes (unless you spend a lot of time polishing the steam). That was all I needed to stop the leak on my G7 (and it was HUGE!!!!). Good luck.

You could also purchase the MT Valve and try that out. Check the postings for details, but I never had any luck with the original!!

Owned?? I think not! We were in 2nd only a few points behind you! I've shot an angel as long as I've played... Was looking for some tech notes and saw that pic - had to make a post.

i had the same problem the cup seal wasn't sitting right on mine...so i just went ahead and got a new valve stem, so it could reseat itself. But now you might want to get the new high flow exhaust valve kit. Its like 65$ and you get a new exhaust valve and stem.

You got it.
I had the same problem....cup seal wasn't sealing against the valve. I removed the valve and lubed everything up and it was fine. A week later I bought the new MT valve and replaced it anyways.
I needed something to push the valve out with...that was all.
