i have just recieved my tadao board and have taken the stock opto board out, now do i have to get shorter screws for the tadao board because the stock ones are way to big, also is there anything that goes behind the board or do i just lay it in there on the inside of the right hand grips? thanks

You should have gotten shorter screws with your board. The the box they should be in a plastic bag.
Yup, it should have come with the short screws. They did send out an early batch without them, but if your's doesn't have them I'd give a call to whoever you bought the board from, they should provide them. The board just goes right into the grip frame, there is nothing that goes under or around it.

Here is a link, some other people had problems with certain types of batteries.

I had issues with the batteries myself. What I ended up doing was placing it in there at a slant. The end of the battery, closest to the Microswitch was completely in the cutout space so that it dosent ride up against any of the chips. The end with the actual 9v connector (which is facing down toward my tank in my setup) was resting on the pcb board at an angle. When you put the grip back on, you cant even notice. It works for me.
