Depends if you like ur G7 or not. G7 has the LCD and a bunch of bells and whistles that the 06 Speed doesn't. Do you use the bells and whistles? The Speed uses a different barrel thread; your G7 barrels won't work on the Speed so you would need new barrels. Internally the markers are very much alike so very little difference there so it depends on which marker feels better and has the features u prefer. The G7s still cost more new than the Speeds, but there are very few used Speeds out there so I have no real idea about resale prices.

if u know someone that has a 06 speed or see someone at a local field with one ask them if u can test it out that u are thinking on tradin for one then compare them and pick the one u like better but i got to say i love my cobra and i love speeds but i wouldnt give mine for a 06 speed

cobras look way nicer, and get more attention at the field. speeds are switch on and kill. cobra has lcd and charger. speed has 9v and fly internals.
its really your preference.
