I just bought an IR3, it hadn't been used maybe but a few times, and still looks brand new, with allthe boxes, paperwork, etc...

My problem is this:

I went to charge it last night... I plugged the lighter adapter into my car, urned the power switch on, and plugged the charger in... It displayed "CHRG" so I let it charge on the way home (about an hour)

When I got home, I unplugged it, and switched it off.. waited a few seconds and switched it back on. The backlight lit up, and it displayed "MEM 6" Then the backlight went off and it shows the Battery Symbol in the bottom right and the three ars" in the upper right.. all are just outlines, not filled. So I thought.. maybe it's not charged enough. So I plugged it in and left it in the car all night (In the Always on Charger port, made sure of that). Woke up this morning... Same thing.

So I plugged it in and drove to the gas station. While i was at the station, I tried it again.. this time it powered on, and went to SAFE and the green Light on the handle came on (It hadn't done that before) I switched it to "LIVE" and fired a few shots and could hear the Solenoid activating. I thought I was golden.

Then I plugged it Back in.. drove to work, and brought it in to show my coworkers... Now it's back to Powering up, Showing MEM 6, then dropping back to the outline bars...
Is this a battery problem? Maybe a Board Problem? Or am I just a COMPLETE n00b and missing something else COMPLETELY?

Please help.. I look like a retard.. :)

Sounds to me like a battery problem?

This problem seems really odd. When you plug in the charger is the battery on the display cascading?

my gun does the same... and my board is bad and im guessing urs is also. i doubt its the battery because i just bought a new battery for mine and it still does it so its most likely the board ... most of the time my board seems fine but it never seems to say that it has a charge and occasionally it displays a code 4 fault so i basically need a new board and you pretty much do also ...

good luck
