That is the way technology works. WDP's product cycle is less than a year so your gun will hold its value less than a year. 24 guns, impressive. With all that experience losing money as a result of advancing technology should not be such a shock to you.

This ongoing whining needs to stop!

Given our generation and the technology that is surrounding our life, you'd think you would have all gotten used to the fact that technology, especially the high end stuff, depreciates quickly. More often than not, it seems, that the higher end the product is the faster it is going to depreciate.

Markers, and technology in general, will continue to depreciate until there are no more advancements in technology. I believe I speak for everyone when I say that I'd much rather lose value, then not advance.

I can see price dropping, but the price dropping before people recieve theirs that they paid the extra 175 for, thats not cool.
I know they got a kickback on the last batch of gats. but they prob should have not immediatley dropped the price like that till they sold the older inventory out ( or at least the same number of guns they had left)

yeah i ordered mine monday and i am supposed to get it sometime today so i called them and said hey i havent even received my gun yet and you already dropped the price so i got 175 store credit there... which is better than losing that money i guess
not cool:stooges:

Indeed, and put it this way, although your current highend markers appear to be depreciating fast, the current 05 (even perhaps your 04) you may have now (w/maybe a cool board and some tweaking) can still go toe-to-toe with some upcoming models as far as firing capability and functionality.

I just got my GAT recently too from eBay for $840.00 used, so I should be pissed too, but rather let's open 'em up and enjoy them...cuz ya know all, they still RIIIIIIIIIIP and are still great markers and this technology should be satisfying for a year (or so)!!!!

So enjoy your GAT's y'all.

Peace!

Go buy a car, then sell it the next day. Think you are going to get the same price you bought it for?

FCP was at Huntington Beach, and I bought one for $800. No tax and no shipping.

The Gat's price went down because the Evil Minion was released ( PL PM6 for those of you who havent heard yet. ) and the PM6 price is down to a measly $700 from its original start of $975.

As we all know, all marks of the 2006 and 2005 SPEEDs where made specifically to compete with the PM guns

Buying markers for resale borders on insanity. Yeah, it sucks to buy any product the day before a price drop but that's the way of the world. Fortunately, the Angels are worth what we pay for them. Just look at what people are paying for other markers that aren't nearly as good.

That's a good guess, but I have a different idea. FCP paid WDP to make them a large run of PL Angels. This would make the company more popular and companies usually get about 70-80% off of MSRP when they do this. When you order a PL gun to be made you have the option of paying every so often, like every 25 or 100 guns. You sign a contract to keep buying them until a certian amount has been made. FCP probably got to their last run, paid $300 each for the guns, and decided that 50-60% profit was not too bad.

The reason for this theory is because my team asked Smart Parts about making a Evil Saints Shocker. They said "OK. That'll be $30,000 for 100 Shockers milled and annoed any way you would like. Only have to pay for 25 at a time too."

Hello. Don't know about Josh's PM status, but Scott got a Nexus G4H ego, Mike and Sam just got their 2k6 egos.

this is why you dont buy them the first 3 months they come out if you have a prob. computer side, i dont buy anything new untill 6 months go by. thats basicaly how long to takes for the hype to go away and the real price of the item.
