breach will not close

hey,

I was taking apart my g7 today and when i finished cleaning everything i noticed that my breach would not close becuase the pin attached to the bolt would not meet up with the ram and i cant figure out why. Can you tell me whats wrong?

Try to use a small allen wrench to push the ram back.

i have but the ram does not go back far enough

first of all, make sure the breach release lever is turned all the way clockwise. then, try pushing the ram back w/ a q tip. if it still doesnt work, there is a sticky thread somewhere about ram adjustment

Isn't that for pre-G7 markers Since the G7 ram is held in one place by that peg can it even be adjusted?

Yeah, G7 ram can not be adjusted. Make sure the ram lever is in the open position before you push the ram back. Then insert the bolt. When the gun is degassed, the ram is too loose to move back by itself.

Yeah that sometimes happens with my friends g7 what i did to his was when i was lowering the breech right before i closed it i pushed the bolt forward (gently) and then i closed the breech kinda quick and then everything lined up.
