We all have heard the phrase "Angels suck!!".
Here are the common list of "errors" in these markers and I have taken the liberty to countering these.
1. Angels are too expensive.
2. Angels are heavy.
3. Angels are inaccurate piece of $hit.
4. Angels are inconstant.
5. Angels are loud.
6. Angels kick.
7. Angels need to have an Evolve Kit to work properly.
8. Angels breaks down.
9. Angels chop.
10. WDP sucks balls.

My Counters:
1. Yeah, but what is the best quality gun ever? Could it be an Angel?
2. If you can't lift a 4-3pound marker you must be a real pansy come on sure an Angel is heavier than other markers but who gives a $hit (also I like cycling at 31bps).
3. Sure they might be not as accurate as you want but get a good barrel kit and you are set.
4. Angels are the most constant marker I have ever shot even with the stock regulator if it is taken care of properly.
5. Angels aren't that much louder than any other gun plus they are quieter than most.
6. This is just a rumor that has been spread, my 04 Speed which is an older model has no kick what so ever and hardly noticeable.
7. This is not completely true, you don't need an evolve kit to make the gun work right all you need is to take care of it!
8. I have never personally seen my Angel, or any other Angel for that matter, break down in 3 years if it was taken care of properly because a ritualistic maintenance after a day of play makes all the difference in the long run.
9. Angels don't chop if it is calibrated right.
10. WDP has the best service I have ever got from a company. And the service from the MTs is priceless, considering if I have a question about my $1000+ gun they will help me out all they can because they know I have spend a lot of money on this marker and they will take care me the best they can (just call one they are really nice and helpful guys!). The thing is, you could say that about any gun. And usually its for the most part incorrect. People who usually have troubles with their guns are to dumb to maintain them.

My hat is off to both of you guys because I must be one of the 'dumb' ones. I had a lot of trouble with my speed out of the box and I think it wasn't because of my ineptitude but rather the fact that there are so many variables that affect balls breaking that it is almost impossible for anyone to isolate the problem and tell me what to do to fix it.

And recently, I had a problem where I couldn't get velocity below the field limit. I tried everything I could imagine to fix it (including swapping all of my son's speed parts for mine) without fixing it. I sent it to Bob and he got it working but he never found a 'smoking gun'.

Don't get me wrong though. I'm a solid angel fan.

I would still look at the air systems output. Test the system with 1000psi, 2000psi, 3000psi and then 4500psi if applicable. This will determine if the output varies dramatically with any of the given pressures. Unfortunately, when we received the marker it had just been thrown together after the parts swamping so all we could do was re-set everything and test.

the sad part is...that our no flaming policy protects your comments and opinions. I would however suggest that you invest in a spell checker of some sort and proof read your comments before you post. I know I am just an idiot MT, but I also happen to have been on the first AKA Factory Team wherein the Excalibur and Viking were developed. Notice that the Viking rate of fire is listed as 40cps (cycles per second) not balls per second. An angel can actually load and fire paint at 31 balls per second, not just cycle the internals. You must also not have been around for all of the solenoid problems, solenoid upgrades, original board problems, WAS board problems, defective bolts, company falling apart with people leaving, etc.....that AKA suffered through. Not to mention that AKA's gun designs are based on the Angel, they even borrowed Angels from our team members during their design phase. A properly tuned angel is not loud, kicks or rises far less than either the Viking or Excalibur I own (both factory tuned), fires faster, and has better user support. If anyone fell for hype it certainly wasn't the purchaser of an angel.

well first of all, the angel (g7) eyes are the best eyes out, and in my opion are the most durable eyes there are. Angels do not have the "worst" maintenance at all. Nothing has gone wrong with my angel in 7 months and no one i know with an angel has had any problems. you fail at life based on the fact that it probably took you a half hour to write all those responses which you yourself know arent true. :microwave <---thats what should happen to you :321: ;)

some people are still haters on the Angel thinking it's overpriced. Look at most new stacked tube guns that are on the higher end and see the price of them.?.? Tell me an Angel is too overpriced and I laugh.

Honestly...week in week out...my marker is up...when it goes down, its most likely because of my tinkering, when I leave it alone...it performs flawlessly..

It is a little heavier than the latest and greatest markers out there in its price range.....but then again Rolls Royce, Bently, Aston Martins arent the lightest cars in thier categories either. What you get is a full featured luxury ride when you get a car like that. You get the royaly treatment. As for Angels?...well they are full featured high quality ride. When you own an Angel, (despite what haters say) it does propel you into paintablls royalty. I see alot of haters...claiming this and that...but honestly..I see a defense mechanism in trying to justify thier lofty accusations.

First off, if you are such an angel hater, why the hell do you belong to AOG?

Secondly, I have had little or NO kick from my G7 at all. Im currently running a hp tank through mine and i have little problems that cant be fixed with a little dwell adjustment. I know that my G7 is loud as hell dry fireing but once you throw some paint in there the thing quiets down. And lastly if you are complaining about how fragile the eyes are let me point something out to you: the computer you are using to type all these dumbass posts is made with the same matierials as the eye in an angel, and if you ask anyone, their computer breaks a whole hell of a lot more than their angel. And what could you expect other than computer technology from the most advanced gun on the market?

Ive been playing for 7 years and every since I bought my first spyder I wanted and looked up to angel owners because well, they owned the field. And now that I own one I combine it with my expieriance to be a succesful player.

edit: to agree with esandov the only time my angel breaks down is when i tinker with it and dont put it back together properly. Although if you take the time to know how to re-assemble your gun properly it will have no issues being taken apart. It is always good to know how to dis-assemble and re-assemble your marker no matter what brand, type, or class.

In last years gear review issue they claimed the 05 Speed to be the best Angel ever and gave it 5 stars (the max) in every category except accuracy and even then accuracy got a 4 out of 5. For negative aspects of the gun it got "Nothing" and both the 05 Speed and the G7 recieved 5 stars for their overall rating - the highest rating possible. That was in issue 26, February/March 2005. Then in issue 29, June 2005 they claimed the G7 to be the greatest Angel ever. To be specific, they said:

"In usual Angel fashion, the G7 is meticulously crafted. . . only perfectly matching sets are assembled. Now that's attention to detail. . . The G7 really is an ergonomic delight. . . An absolutley unbeatable trigger system . . . Yes the G7 is expensive, but for your money, you get one of the finest crafted and performing markers available."

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

well the kids that are spoiled are the ones that get their parents buy it for them and dont let anyone at the feild forget that they own one. Then they sit and talk to you about how much better their gun is than yours then you play a game and you kill em. Then they make up excuses as to why they lost. Anyway i have owned 2 angels, a 04 speed which got turned into a 05 and a 02 lcd. While both had kick i couldnt care less. Truly when your 30 feet away from someone during a game, is a little kick going to matter? Also being the only reg that cant handle hp? I took out a couple shims and it immediatly worked on hp. Also, unless your playing a scenario game, since when has weight mattered? I realize it isnt like a shocker, but then again, could you fit all the awesome features you get with an angel into that small ass body. I think not. Also that guy saying akas and vikings are better. Yeah, thats why you see em everywhere. I can truly say with the five years ive played, and over 20 tournys, i have never seen a viking or any aka gun in person, so i guess they arent that good are they.

And as some have said, everyone knows an angel. The first high end gun you hear and dream about when you start is an angel. Go to a field with an autococker, or your o so sweet aka and see who cares. You might get a few questions about it but if you bring an angel your gonna have a crowd of people wanting to see and shoot it. Ive let a couple new kids on the coast take mine out for a game while i used the trusty 98 and they come out of it with soiled pants.

And if your gonna cry that angels can only go to 31 bps and akas can do 300. WHO CARES??? Who has ever shot up to 31 with no bounce, no ramping, just pure semi auto. No one. If you say you have your a liar. So stop bashing on angels because whatever you say is wrong. Most of the people who bash em have never even owned one and just hear stories about someone who fd theres up because their dumb.

I have a friend thats dad bought him a Karni (When they were 1,100) and its not my friend that I hear how good the karnivor is, its his dad..

I brought my angel over and he talked about how it has a cheater board (Predator) and yata yata yata, and his sons karni doesnt come close to my angel, the only thing thats better is his barrel cause he spent 180 on a full matching Kaner kit..

My angel would Smash his karni into the ground, his karni goes like 17bps with Super bouce on, I mean you tap the side of his gun and the thing goes Balistic... you have to hold the trigger to stop it from firing

As for finger speed, first if you hold your left hand down on the asa and shoot lefty while pulling the trigger with your right hand it makes me shoot faster for some reason. Just about constantly i walk something while im at school be it pencil, pen, anything really. Also what i have done is tape something small but heavy to the fingers you walk with and walk your gun for about 30 minutes while your watching tv or something like that, then take em off, its crazy how fast your fingers move after you take em off. Also that builds the muscles in your fingers so you can walk faster even when you dont weight your fingers. If you wanted to get em they sell little finger weight things that are kinds like rings for the tips of your fingers, but why spend money on something you can make yourself.

Are you kidding? Maybe you should read Facefull. In last years gear review issue they claimed the 05 Speed to be the best Angel ever and gave it 5 stars (the max) in every category except accuracy and even then accuracy got a 4 out of 5. For negative aspects of the gun it got "Nothing" and both the 05 Speed and the G7 recieved 5 stars for their overall rating - the highest rating possible. That was in issue 26, February/March 2005. Then in issue 29, June 2005 they claimed the G7 to be the greatest Angel ever. To be specific, they said:

"In usual Angel fashion, the G7 is meticulously crafted. . . only perfectly matching sets are assembled. Now that's attention to detail. . . The G7 really is an ergonomic delight. . . An absolutley unbeatable trigger system . . . Yes the G7 is expensive, but for your money, you get one of the finest crafted and performing markers available."

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

I'm not sure on the exact date of release, but In February I don't think the G7s were in major circulation yet. So it would make sense to say that the 05 Speed (At that time, mind you) was the best angel yet. AND you also need to keep in mind that they lump guns together by price range, so I'm sure they also kept the extra low cost of the Speed in mind when making that statement.

And as to the guy that mentioned the Angel eyes are durable. I wouldn't quite go that far. Yes, they work wonderfully even with some paint on them. But I wouldn't say that they're durable. I have broken two eye ribbons, one of which didn't eve break at the eye. It broke where the ribbon connects to the board.

Now, by saying this I am in no way putting Angels down. They're just observations. I will only shoot angels the rest of my paintball career. In my mind they're the best guns available, and certainly the best for the money.

well the kids that are spoiled are the ones that get their parents buy it for them and dont let anyone at the feild forget that they own one. Then they sit and talk to you about how much better their gun is than yours then you play a game and you kill em. Then they make up excuses as to why they lost. Anyway i have owned 2 angels, a 04 speed which got turned into a 05 and a 02 lcd. While both had kick i couldnt care less. Truly when your 30 feet away from someone during a game, is a little kick going to matter? Also being the only reg that cant handle hp? I took out a couple shims and it immediatly worked on hp. Also, unless your playing a scenario game, since when has weight mattered? I realize it isnt like a shocker, but then again, could you fit all the awesome features you get with an angel into that small ass body. I think not. Also that guy saying akas and vikings are better. Yeah, thats why you see em everywhere. I can truly say with the five years ive played, and over 20 tournys, i have never seen a viking or any aka gun in person, so i guess they arent that good are they.

And as some have said, everyone knows an angel. The first high end gun you hear and dream about when you start is an angel. Go to a field with an autococker, or your o so sweet aka and see who cares. You might get a few questions about it but if you bring an angel your gonna have a crowd of people wanting to see and shoot it. Ive let a couple new kids on the coast take mine out for a game while i used the trusty 98 and they come out of it with soiled pants.

And if your gonna cry that angels can only go to 31 bps and akas can do 300. WHO CARES??? Who has ever shot up to 31 with no bounce, no ramping, just pure semi auto. No one. If you say you have your a liar. So stop bashing on angels because whatever you say is wrong. Most of the people who bash em have never even owned one and just hear stories about someone who fd theres up because their dumb.

I agree with you 100%, I own my nice 04 Speed and I get comments on it all the time how it is awesome, and I am proud to say I saved 9months to buy and make this nice custom gun. But I cannot stand when you have people that their parents buy them their guns.

Heh, my parents bought me one gun. It was a stock autococker and it was a graduation present. What I hate most about parents buying their kids guns, is the kid asking for the most expensive gun for the sake that its the most expensive.

the greatest thing ever with those kids are the fact that they have no idea about anything inside of the gun. I love it when they just have a newer version of the one you have and something starts leaking and they ask you for help after making fun of your gun. True, the G7 wasn't in wide circulation at the time and that was why Facefull claimed the 05 Speed to be the greatest Angel ever - at that time. On another note, Facefull doesn't necessarily group guns by price, it groups them by class; entry level, mid level mechanical, mid level electric, etc. The 05 Speed fell into the same gun category as every other Angel, Shocker, Timy, Ego, DM, etc. The retail price is certainly a factor in the value rating of the gun which is why the Speed earned 5 stars in the value category; it gives you the most bang for your buck. The value rating, as well as the other ratings earned in other specific categories such as speed, build quality, and accuracy contribute to the overall rating of the gun. Ironicly, the only negative comment that the G7 earned in the gear review was that it was "Expensive."

well ... i havnt really read any of this thread other than this post really. and i do have to agree w/ u completely. however ... the word noob or n00b or newb or newbie or any other way u say it ... is beginning to be used as a mean term which it erally shouldnt. its more of a way to say taht you are just starting out and beginning a new thing and you are nto as skilled as others but ppl are now calling ppl noobs as an insult ... which is annoying ... i used to do it about 4 or 5 years ago (13/14 age) when i played cs and when i was starting the pball scene i got called a newb as an insult and thats when i realised how dumb i sounded. idk im just rambling now ... ramble ramble ... idk what i just typed im really not paying attention ... i dont feel like deleting this so just read it i guess?:notsure:

My Dad,Mom, and boss at work, and its not that serious with my boss cause we make fun of each other constantly. Anyway, if someone calls me a noob in a "rude" way ill tell em to f off and meet me on the feild. I find myself doing stuff that is what people call "noob" but truly i dont care, ive probably been playing longer than most of em anyway.

If people use it in the right way, its not rude at all. But there are the people that insist on pissing off everyone, and use it wrong.

Now if someone is calling you a noob and you cant really play them to show your better than they are, all you have to do is have a little more wit than they do. Which isnt hard since they are calling you a noob, which really really hurts :thumbsdow. If you immediatly come back with something that the person has to actually think about, whatever they say next is going to make a fool out of em. Just be a better at arguing and they look like an idiot. Now by no means do i mean go argue with everyone next time your at the field, just give a quick comeback, even if its something thats incredibly insulting and they dont get it, they deserved it. If you do too much, you look like the asshole. All you have to do is make them pause or prove them wrong.

my pm5 seems to work fine, and i've shot dm5's and dm6's that do just fine in performance...

^ Most other high end guns are of the stacked 2 tube design... Angels are 3 tubes... an Angel bolt is COMPLETELY different than a Matrix, Shocker, or Ego bolt... as far as I know, Angels are the only gun to use the vernier wheel system...

The reason most high end guns are the same is that they're all engineered to allow the player to shoot as fast as he or she can.

yea angels being overpriced my butt, the new SL66 Ego is $1900 compared to $1300 for the new One (from what i hear) when its gunna be lighter, shoot faster, and if its anything like the G7 or Gat it WON'T kick at all

and to add the local store owner had a dye and chopped a SINGLE ball and was forced to quit the game and miss the next three trying to clean out his spool valve so he do it over again

well first of all, the angel (g7) eyes are the best eyes out, and in my opion are the most durable eyes there are. Angels do not have the "worst" maintenance at all. Nothing has gone wrong with my angel in 7 months and no one i know with an angel has had any problems. you fail at life based on the fact that it probably took you a half hour to write all those responses which you yourself know arent true.


i love the eyes in my g7 they are so easy to clean.my shocker the reflective eyes in it oooooooohh those SUCK if you tightne them to tight they dont work and the ball detints break like every 6 months and you cant take them apart:tongue2:
