Today was the 1st time I got to you my new GAT on an palying field and I noticed 2 things that might need adjusting but I don't know where to begin:
1) Is there a "ramping" mode? My Ion had "ramping" set-up from the dealer and I loved it. If this mode is available on the GAT coan someone tell me how to activate it?
2) I notice that the paitnball kept curving right after about 60-65 yard; is that normal?
Overall, I wasn't very impressed with the GAT; especailly when I compare it to my Ion. Hopeflly once I gat it "fine tuned" I'll be happier.
Thanks!

I also have an ION with some upgrades and waiting for my new G7. From my understanding you might want to turn the TR up, which is bounce. They do have a PSP mode but unsure how to get it on the 06 Speed/Gats

read the manual.........it clearly explains how to set the different modes.

I consider myself a fairly smart individual (I'm a Visual Basic/.Net programmer); thus I will have to disagree with you. The manual is anything but "clear" on the programming modes and other features. It is "clear" on the assembly & dis-assembly.
Example: it mentions how to remove the Vernier; but makes no mention on what it does (I did find out what this was in an earlier post). Nor does it use the word "ramping" anywhere within the manual.

well ... all i can say is rtm for the board ... i have not had too much experience w/ the stock board in an 06 speed/the gat .. however ... as for the curving of the balls ... the stock barrel isnt the best .. u may want a new barrel or kit. also give it time to break in the gun b4 changing ur pressures and all that

Yeah, I didn't want to "mess" with the pressures and I already ordered a Barrel Kit. What do you mean by "rtm for the board"?

ok if you want your gat to shoot fast this is what you must do:
open up grip and turn gun on. press the black button on the board until the LED is flashing red. pull the trigger so all the lights are lit up except the top one. this will pretty much max out your halo.

as far as the paint curving, its most likely your paint to barrel match. try some different paint.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot.

also, make sure your dwell is up to about 9.

Actually, on my GAT after you open the grip and hit the black button a few times, when the top LED is flashing RED you are in mode selection. One LED lit at the botton is no bounce (no extra balls) and 5 is max bounce (lots of extra balls). When all the LED's are lit, the marker is PSP mode (Ramp upto 15bps after two trigger pulls). Use the trigger to change the number of lit LEDs then turn the gun off to save the settings.
I found the manual really helpfull but I had to read it a few times to fully understand it and some things are placed poorly but almost all the info you could ever need is in there.
My GAT shoots strait as heck but I had to return the first Dye Tip that came with my gun. There was a factory defect so I returned it and no probs since. The Dye ultralight is one of the most accurate barrels out there so if you gun is curving there is probably a reason. I also bought a .692 back for cold weather or poor paint.

Just curious, what was wrong with the Ultralite tip?

There were a couple of areas about half way down on the inside of the barral tip where the finishing didnt stick. This created a few rough spots. nothing to big, but noticeable.
