this idea just hit me but anyway...
im not really a fan of the feel of the opto sensor in the firing mechanism of the angels. it is just too smothe, no point of contact untill the backstop. on any real trigger you have a point where you come up against a stop when you are squeesing the trigger, and when you go over that stop the gun fires. i was thinking the same thing with the angel.
for those that are seeking the feel of a microswitch activated firing sequence there could be a false microswitch in the housing for the board, not connected to anything but just adding that feel of a microswitch to the opto board. and if the person chose that they did not like the feel of that microswitch they could just take it out and let the trigger magnets do all the work
just a thought

Interesting, they should have a seat (like where DM chips plug), and you can swap them out. So you can have one or the other. The reason I say this is because I cant see where to find the space to insert the MS feely device and still have the opto in there. It would be neat though. I have the Tadao so the board is accesable, WDP encases thiers so that would be something else also.

this is actually a very nice idea, although i prefer the optoswitch over any microswitch, i believe that its a good idea, i know the ego tadao boards have th microswitch plug into the board...so why cant they have a otpswitch plug in to =). would be a very good idea.

That is a great idea, I love the microswitch feel, although after owning a speed for a while now, I am getting used to the feel of the opto. think the biggest issue would be with the encasement as stated above...

well, that's the whole reason why I didn't get the A1 off the start. a friends A1 trigger was so loose it felt like Crap. and I really did not like it at all. I am so used to the Tadao board it felt akward. but then the heaven's parted and another friend had the A1 on the Field. i was so impressed with his trigger set up. I finally put my G7 on the Classifieds. sooner or later they'll make a board for it then it's a wrap.
Peace

The only problem I see with that is how the Opto Switch works in that it need to be at least partially encased in order to prevent any outside light interference. Doesn't it? I could be wrong. It also seems to me that the Opto Switch actually takes up quite a bit more space than a microswitch would and that would make having enough free space on the board capable of accepting either one difficult.
Personally, I like the Opto Switch. It does definitely take some getting used to, but once you do, it rocks.

Their the same size. Both just shorter then 1/2 inch. If you design it for the bigger one then the smaller one will fit.

I like the opto.
You could definitely figure out a way to get your trigger to click for you.
