FYI Freak Barrels

Just an FYI...Smart Parts have Freak Barrels with the new threading. You have to call to order them; their web-site hasn't been updated yet.

Apart from the Stock DYE barrel...what other barrels do most of you guys use? There isn't much availble with the new threads; are there?

I am just saying, an Ultralite is a much better barrel then a Freak (aside from the inserts, which in my opinion are not very good).

IMO the freak barrel is great, it gives you the best versatility in bore sizes and it shoots straight as an arrow

He's right... I have one on my Fly and I personally think its pretty sexy

Well, I used a Freak on a friends Impulse and I did not care for it. I am not trying to start something here, I am just stating an opinion. Heck, my stock Infinity barrel shoots just as good as anything with proper paint to barrel match.

I can't really justify calling the ultralite that comes w/ the gat a stock barrel....it's more like an upgrade outta the box. I mean, I've paid good money to get those on previous guns, as have many other people, they're great barrels. Definately all I'll be using.

As a side note, I don't care much for freaks either.

SM-1 has awesome barrel kits with the new angel threads, they have a 2 pcs Orbuim and a 3 pcs orbuim they come with four defferent bore sizes. just got one to match my red patch GAt, the barrel is quiet and shoots straight as an arrow, very accurate.

my gat is on its way and im either just going to get 1 or possibley two more UL backs, but for the freak statement- i had a freak on my last angel (before it got stolen) and i didnt like my freak to much IMO- at times it would shoot good at times it wouldnt even with good barrel-paint match- also i seem to find that alot of the same inserts seem to be different- my .687 was the same as my friends .689 as an example
