okay so if you wanted your trigger pull to be short would you have to bend the leaf spring because if im correct the leaf spring is a certain length so you can only go so short am i right?

no ... u adjust the vernier wheels ... or the toe and back stop of the trigger along w/ the actuation point screw ... its a microswitch ... and u never needed to bend a leaf spring on any board ... ever

well i knew you could adjust the wheel and stuff but i thought that it could only go so far on a microswitch but i was wrong, thank you, and also what does bending the spring do?

it could break it and then you wil curse like a motherf$cker because you have to by a new board lol  .

I had to sand down the leaf on the trigger, but I would never touch the board.
It also looks like you need to be careful not to adjust the trigger travel to far back into the switch. While playing around with my setup I noted that you could actually adjust the toe and trigger to the point where in the full back position it applied what looked like way more pressure than was needed to just close the switch.
In this full back position the switch spring was fully depressed and pushing back on the switch body. This switch body itself is attached to the board with just solder and IMHO should not be subjected to undue pressure from “over travel” of the toe and trigger.

I am using a CP aftermarket trigger and using the verneer wheels I can set it to be so short I can bearly measure the travel (literally enough for the click of the switch). You should be able to accomplish your goal length without altering anything or severly (or even relatively) stressing parts, really. Now where your trigger sits in the frame is a different story. Some people like the trigger as far back as you can get it and other like a super short trigger pull but all the way forward; that is up to you.
Either way I only notice these things (fractions of a mm or weight of pull) when I am teching. Never really felt a diff one way or another during a game unless its a gross difference.

There's also that one. It does not fit a 45 frame unless you modify it.
The link pinoy10 posted is a 45 frame trigger, saw it installed in a G7 45 at the CP booth. Don't see why it wouldn't work on an 05 Speed.

i put the trigger that warpedx linked on my 05 speed but i had to shave the sides of the actuator leaf on the back side to make it pull smoothly. easy fix and the trigger is smokin fast. pulls like a timmy
This board is truly sick fast! My anno went to plaid! The board, VP trigger, Angel Force valve and AKA LPR that's coming out, work great together. I made the mistake of having an ultra short throw on the trigger pull (about 1mm each way) and minimum magnet. Needless to say it went full auto on it's own. It was really easy to set correctly and eliminate the bounce. I was really sceptical about losing the feel of the optical switch, but the combination works really well. The feel and response is impressive. You just gotta love the way Angel and those working with them are headed!

I installed a AKA adjustable LPR a couple of weeks ago into a friends marker. Very nice product.... I am looking forward to its release to all.....

On the CP trigger, I had Warped (Master yoda) actually file down (dremmel) my non adj leaf on the CP trigger so that it sat better on the Ta Dao microswitch leaf. The CP was sliding past the microswitch causing friction and at times even stick. Now its heaven. If you find that happening look at the interaction between the CP leaf and the microswitch leaf. They shouldnt be sliding past each other.
I look forward to the STD AKA LPR myself. Do kens statements reflect a possible LPR endorsement?

i noticed that after installing my board and adjusting the trigger the way i wanted, it was actuating the switch all the time. to get that to stop, i had to increase trigger travel. so i did that a little and then the marker would fire when i would tap against the grip or the barrel. so i loosened some more to stop that and now I don't like the trigger movement anymore. (it's too loose).
anybody else have this problem?

Not following you completely Al. How long was the trigger pull when you had it set to your likings? How hard did you have to tap the marker to make it fire?

ok, let me try again.
new board goes in.
turn marker on, LED is green after boot up meaning the trigger was pulled during the start up sequence.
so, I loosen the trigger pull (increases trigger travel) and I back out the toe adjustment screw until I can successfully turn on the marker without the trigger switch being activated during start up.
At this point, I could have been ok with the trigger and it's adjustment but I found that just by opening and closing the breach for example, you could hear the electronics cycle.
then, just for grins, I tapped my finger on the side of the marker and it cycled again.
so I had to continue to increase trigger travel until that stopped. Now I've got a pretty 'loose' trigger meaning lots of trigger travel.
Where is the leaf contacting the micro swith i.e. top, middle or bottom?

at the very top of the microswitch. and by top, I'm referring to the longest part of the free end of the switch lever arm.
Manipulate the leaf on the trigger so it hits the middle or even lower on the lever. You may also need to use both magnets in your vernier wheels.

Don't know how I missed Bob's reply but I did. Has anyone else done this? Looking for the best way to manipulate the leaf. I don't have the marker in front of me so I'm visualizing the trigger and I'm guessing needle nose pliers and trial and error. Correct?

That'd do it, just be careful. The other way would be to remove the trigger from the marker and use your fingers.

I had the same problem with my marker (GAT) firing unexpectedly after I installed the T-board. Any little bump or even gripping the handle extra hard would case the marker to fire, it was that sensitive. I lengthened the trigger pull a tiny tiny bit and increased the magnetic return strength and now its much better. The marker will still fire with a hard bump to the back of the marker but it will do that with the opto board as well.
Also, I cant wait to get my hands on the Aka reg... If you ever need any Canadain testers let me know! Is there a release date for that yet?
