I just received my new GAT, WOW its leaps & bounds better than my Ion. The 1 thing I didn't like was/is the "cheesy" macro line. Is there a better replacement?
Thanks!

whats wrong with the macro? macro line is macro line, i guess you could get steel braid. just cut it down to the right size, or replace the straight fitting in the minireg with a 90*, thats what i did and i like it much better.

(i dont see what u mean about cheesy macro line? is there some new magic macro line out that i havent seen?)

I also have an OLD Angel LED that I bought used and it has a steel braided with "quick" disconnect macro. I just thought that if a marker is selling for $1,000 it should at least have a liitle "bling".

macro line is anything but cheezy... and in my opinion it is alot better and easier to use then steel braided because you can disconnect it whenever you want an the angel fittings never leak. Also pretty much all 1000 dollar markers come with macro line now because it is the new thing and most cheap markers come with steel braided. :boobies:

Ya what the hell do u mean "a little bling" almost every high end marker uses macroline and almost every low-end one uses a steel-braided hose

Maybe "cheesy" was a poor choice of words; its just that Angel put a lot of thought behind the color schemes and design of the GAT and I would have thought they would have come up with something unique when it came to such a simple item as a 3 cent macro line. Yes, it does serve its function and yes it is still a great looking & performing marker; but why not go the extra step. Hell the marker is already priced near a thousand dollars, I would have paid more if need be to defer any costs for improving a 3 cent part. Even you "diehard" Angel guys gotta admit the line is as stiff as a board and I'm sure that none of you would complained if Angel would have improved on it. I'm actually getting ready to buy my 2nd GAT for my son.

X"XJumpman, you stated "almost every high end marker uses macroline". A company should never settle for being like the "other guy" when introducing a new product/design to market. Always go a step beyond; sometimes its the little things that give a company the edge over their competition.

There isn't really a "step beyond", there needs to be something to connect the on/off to the minireg and macroline is the best option, WDP's step beyond is the 06 speed itself, it combines looks, performance/speed and durability all in one easy to use package. The price of the macroline doesn't matter, who cares if its 3 cents, 5 cents, or a dollar. What matters is that macroline is extremely convenient and easy to use, it looks good, and about the "stiff as a board" its not that hard to bend, if its too hard then you can go ahead and buy a softer piece for a couple cents, my friend has a GAT and the macroline bends just fine.

Anyways,

Enjoy your gun! :)
