warped...you want to call Russ at Extreme. He can hook you up with the directions and all....while you're there tho man, go out to Shark's Cove and do some snorkeling and check out the eye candy, the water should be nice right about now.........man I miss that place *sniff*

mycallbumbum......do you live on Oahu? Shark's Cove is up on the North Shore.....great dive site for a beach dive, used to go out there all the time, it's right next to 3 tables.

Sharks Cove was about a good 45 minutes from Pearl Harbor. Basically you had to take the H1 out to the H2 and then you got off and went by the Army post, and then through a couple of little towns and such, and then you finally got there. Great site tho, much better than Electric Beach.

Last time We went to Waiamai bay (I know I totally butchered that name.) Unfortunately there were no waves, but still good for swimming. Plus, I wasn't 21 yet, so Waikiki sucked at night.
Emmit, I forgot you were stationed there, how long? Any other reccomendations?

warpedx I was there from 95 to 98.
When I had left the Turtle Bay Hilton was just opening their field, they've since hosted the Great Western Series Finals out there once.
There was only really one field worth playing when I left, and I'm sure that in 5 years that has since changed. Your best bet would be to visit Extreme and talk with them. They are pretty easy to find really. Take a cab and leave the base from the Makalapa gate, turn left heading for the mall/Aloha stadium, turn right past the mall, and then left on the road behind the mall (should be a drive thru movie theater on that corner) then you just go down that road a little ways and it'll be on your right, there's also a dive shop right next door to them. I can't remember names of roads right now, but that's pretty good directions.
I know there's an I&I Sports on Oahu as well, but I am unsure of how to get there as I only went once with a guy who needed to pick something up on our way out to play.
The field we played at was like some extra acreage out at a Horse farm on the way out to the Polynesian Cultural Center, you could see the little Chinamens Hat island from the fields. Not a bad field back in the day I would say.

Emmit that field you are talking about has closed, and Id highly recommend to not go to I&I. I think the best shop is central but Xtreme is the place to go for an angel tech. That drive thru theatre has also been closed for awhile.
As for fields theres one in uhh kailua but thats far for me the only places I know of are on the army base, thats an indoor field although i heard it was the size of a garage. Theres a field in bellows that place is good if you wanna pay 90$ for a case of marbs and its FPO(and damn theres a lot of bad stories about bellows and how they ripped ppl off). The best is Hawaii Allstar, it has all the bunkers the mainland has, and I ref there :)
Damn Emmit I think you know more about Hawaii than I do... BTW wheres Electric beach??? lol I know Hanauma bay is pretty nice for diving just if you go out too far theres sharks. haha the toilet bowl there is the best.
Waikiki is still fun if you just want to cruise even if you aint 21 you just need tah know where to go, unfortunatly I dont really know my way around there although I've skated from one side to the other( Yes my frens and I have no life )

The one at Bellows was still trying to open up when I was leaving so I never got to play it.
Hanauma Bay I only went to 1 time, and I thought it was okay for snorkeling, but as for diving :dunno:
Electric Beach....geez try to make me remember directions I haven't taken in years...uh.....It was called Electric Beach because it was the beach across from the power plant. The discharge pipe from the Power plant was just a little offshore, and it attracted a lot of fish and stuff. It wasn't a bad dive site as it wasn't on the North Shore so it didn't get the weather that North Shore does. Honestly tho I can't remember completely where it was. It was the first (and only time I've ever been in the water with dolphins) we had a pod of Dolphins swim through a class I was a safety diver on. Sweet. A lot of the dive schools liked to use Electric Beach because it was a good beach dive and there was plenty of sand around to allow for classes and you could use it almost year round unlike any site on the North Shore.

I doubt I'll make it to the I&I, I don't like the one back home either. I'm getting really close to my visit there. Anyone on the island got a marker for me to borow? I shudder at the thought of sinking to a rental.

Howzit?
Here's a couple of listings of PB fields in Hawaii from PBReview (http://www.pbreview.com/fields/13/), PBPlanet (http://pbplanet.com/paintball-fields-by-state.asp?State=HW) and also from WARPIG (http://www.warpig.com/forums/fields/index/pg_Hawaii.shtml). I've played at Kualoa (http://baberuth.macroplay.com/local/recarea/review.jsp?rid=7981), on the Windward side as well as at the Hawaii All Star (http://www.hawaiiallstar.com/) near Nimitz. The Kualoa field is more woods oriented and more low key. The Nimitz one is speedball/hyperball and usually has lots of players. Either can be fun. The best store (IMHO) while I was there (91-01) was Xtreme Paintball Supply (http://www.hawaiibid.com/xtremepaintballsupply/) in Pearl City.
Hawaii's not too hard to get around in. If you go to far, you'll always hit water. If you're driving a rental car don't leave valuables in sight in tourist areas. Shaka

I know this thread is abut a year old,, just wondering if anyone was still active out there. I Grew up on the North Shore, played my first game at that Horse Ranch field, but it was over in the Long Grass side. That was in 1989. makes me feel old to say it.

Hey i'm from Hawaii. There are some really beautiful spots here if you know where to go. If you are looking for really great waves, North Shore or anything along the north coast is great! Haunauma Bay is a really great tourist beach because it's just breathtaking beautiful there.
Fields
At the moment there are there fields that I know of. There is Hawaii AllStar on Nimitz Hwy which is great if you like hyperball or supair types, fees are $15 admission $10 all-day air paint is about $40 - $70. Kaneohe Marine Corp Base also has a field mostly hyperball type, not too sure about the fees though, sorry. And the field that I play out of is at Bellows Air Force Base. Fees are $10 admission $10 all-day Air. Currently they only have a Recball type field. But I do know that the Supair field should be up very soon, maybe by Sept. 18, this Saturday. We also have a brand new 4500 pump w/ multiple stations so that's new. Paint is still kinda expensive $50 - 70.
Maui also has a couple fields, unfortunately I do not know where they are at. The Big Island also has one but alas I do not know where that one is too.
Shops
Well your best bet would be Xtreme Paintball in Pearl City, especially if you are look for an Angel, Russ hails from there. Pretty flexable hours, you can call them at (808) 484-2772. Another place you can go is in Wahiawa, Pure Speed. Ricky sells a couple Angels and some other guns as well. You can contact him at (808) 622-5958. The last shop is Central Paintball Supply in Honolulu. Sorry don't know the ph #.
I had two Angels though I sold one because I needed the money. Anything else PM me.

You are not seeing things. That field would be Hawaii All Star Field.

Wow ...not too many people from Hawaii huh? Well I'm from Hawaii, Oahu on the north shore to be exact. I'm like 5 min away from the Polynesian Cultural Center. Anybody ever down this side and wanna play in the country give me a holler. I got extra guns, extra gear, and everything. The only thing you might need is a mask. We can fix that though if your desperate enough we got a motorcycle helmet lmao.

I got certified at the Denver class, worked on many Angels so far. I have 3 angels on hand, which I only lend to those that know how to fully operate an Angel. I'm the field tech at Bellows and I will not bull sh*t anyone, the new owner Keith Shelley, is a hell lot better than the previous owner Aaron. Cheapest paint is $35 and premiums at $65 which are Evil, not midEvil. We are opening an airball field very soon for 5 man games, and we are the only field that owns its own 5000 psi fill station. Frankie from Nimitz owns the other. Bellows is mostly woods but that will change very soon. But for tourneys, Nimitz really is the place to be. Brandon has a hellova staff and they will take care of you. Only other field on Oahu is on Kaneohe Marine Corp Base, though I tell you this with a grain of salt. Why? Because you really can get hurt there, not from being shot, but from the field layout. There fields are riddled with holes i've heard many ppl saying that they've twisted an ankle or fallen and messed up their gun. You really can't see where the holes are because the field has tall grass and can't see jack.
So it's either Nimitz or Bellows for best experience.
