I have just gotten a 2003 Angel LCD. I have been shooting cockers and impulses. I have never had an Angel.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to maintain or to improve the performance of the Angel will be greatly appreciated.
What are the x and y modes? what do the do?

Search!
Get an Angel Tool Kit and read up here. We're always willing to help. Read the tech section as well. Ken Crane is putting up how-to's.

... and how do i apply the love juice?
What is the Angel Tool Kit for?

The toolkit lets you do LPR adjustments...it should be 92 PSI...those tools let you open up to the LPR, and test the pressure, as well as ram adjustments. The love juice goes in the exaust port in the rota breech, the front most hole. It only needs 1 or 2 drops there every 8K cycles.

What's the recommended MROF of the Angels?

what ever your hopper can push, or drop in my case. Ive got mine on 16. Even though my hopper only drops 12-13.

The LPR pressure is not suppose to be 92PSI. Dude, what are you thinking. The LPR pressure is suppose to be between 85-90PSI with optimal setting of 87PSI. To change this you will need to add or remove shims. The toolkit is a kit with tools to help you remove parts of your angel more successfully. It is a great investment. It will keep you from scarring your gun parts, and causing leaks. Saves alot of hastle. You can pick one up at www.angelparts.com or www.buypb.com

The MROF is suitable for your own personal preference. What hopper do you use? How fast will it feed? I have a egg 2 which supposedly feeds 17, so I have my MROF on my angel at 16BPS.

Also, if your using brittle paint, or playing in cold weather......You might want to change your dwell setting to 16 to keep from breaking paint. (To change your velocity, it is acheived by the screw on your mini reg. Screw it in to lessen velocity, unscrew it to highten the velocity.)

Might I suggest you get some DOW 33 grease to help lube your gun, and some Love Juice. I use DOW 33 on my RAM o-rings, and my LPR o-rings. It tends to last a little longer. And around 8,000 shots like listed above drop 2 drops of love juice in the exhaust port in the breech. It is the hole in front of the bolt pin hole. And you can also drop a couple in your macroline, and air the gun up and shoot a few times.

If you need any further help, Private message me. I am always wanting to help a fellow angel owner out.

Read your manual. It helps alot. Also you will need to read up on general maintenance. Stripping of the RAM/HAMMER assembly for cleaning, and lubeing of o-rings on the RAM. Also you might want to read up on cleaning your LPR and things. Because sooner or later, you will have to do it.

If you need any further info, don't hesitate to private message me. Or you can email me at DAdkins23@wmconnect.com

Should i oil up/grease the gun before play? I usually do that with impulses or cockers?

Welcome to the world of Angels...Just follow the prescribed maintenance schedule...it's real nice just to have to wipe paint (after the game) and be ready for next game or next week. That's the nice thing about Angels...way less mechanicals than the cocker. Hope the transition goes well for you.

Hey flip. The Angels come packed with grease from the factory so you may not need to grease until you hit 8k shots or more. As for oiling, you might wanna just drop 1 or 2 into your ASA, macroline, etc whatever, every other week or so. I found that it keeps my gun in tip top shape and has performed flawlessly. Oh yeah, do not grease or oil your bolt ever! It's suppose to be dry. Hope you like the gun!

Thanks for all the help guys. I appreciate it. One more question, if ever i use the Dow grease where do i apply it, because with the impulse we just wipe it around the o-rings of the bolt, as well as the hammer.

is it 87 ? it does have the parts from the ir3 ... and don't they run a little higher ... ?

On your LPR recomendation. The 2K3 might be closer internally to an IR3 than an LCD which takes a little higher pressure say 90-95. I'm sure it's in the manual.

As far as maintenance it's 2 drops of oil every 8K and nothing greased until 20. I call cobra when I have a question concerning the Mamba and they aren't that picky when it comes to shot count. Mostly if it's shooting good don't mess with it.

I just hit the 30K mark and it's actually performing better than at 10k.

Can i wipe the bolt of the angel, so it would remain dry?
