I usually don't speak my mind of things like this, but I feel I need to. This is EXACTLY why I've taken a "break" from paintball this past few months. Some of the Bull--it that is shown in that video is exactly what this sport needs less of. It has taken years to change paintball's image from an unorganized reckless backyard showdown to the SPORT it has become today. We all get upset when "things don't go our way" in tourneys (I'll be the first to admit). But pointing or shooting your marker at someone as your walking off the field is asinine, I don't care what the reason. Without safety in paintball, boy we've got problems (and it will cost all of us!!)

Let's take another angle, who is the majority of paintball's audience (age). Us adults are supposed to be role models for the younger guys. What kind of impression does this kind of crap impose onto the parents who are supporting their children in this sport?

It's rare that I play rec ball but I played with a bunch of guys for a stag party and couldn't believe the attitude off the field from other rec ballers. I thought this was only at a tournament level, WOW it's actually worse. What happen to the days where everyone is laughing with excitement. (and I'm not that old either).

it's just like any sport, break a rule and theres penalties. Thats why we have 1for1's (2for1's, etc.). I do think that some ppl can take it a little far off the field, but that's what happens when you get a whole event full of adrenaline and testosterone. It happens in any other sport, u just don't see it on tv because espn doesn't film the locker rooms and huddles. It's just easier to see in paintball, making ppl believe theres more of it in paintball than everywhere else...

This is our sport in a state of evolution. Back in the day I remember Chris Lasoya throwing his marker and half of the other pros. It was decided that it was unacceptable and the penalty is harsh for that crap today. The rest, the rest is an evolution. And for those who think our sport is bad in terms of sportsmanship, tell them to turn on the mics in an NFL game. I aint def but I can read what thier saying.

Exactly my point, there's a reason why other sports don't show it (paintball is the last sport that needs it). Let's not forget what makes paintball such a great sport SAFETY. Right we shouldn't hide it, but let's not start to drool over it and certainly not emphasize the bad parts.

The biggest problem is unlike other sports, someone can get seriously injured in this sport with confrontations such as these. This is just what people like me need, I have all I can do to get people to follow "basic" safety rules. Now all we need is for the insurance companies to see this stuff during there "random" field visits.

Ken is this one of the reasons why you suggested I don't open a field?

thanks owen and its nice to see your watching. heres my take. i am fed up with the :bouncer: sissy vids that we can show the rest of the world what we do. this is entertainment for us and anyone else that is willing to accept it. people watch porn,:boobies: people watch jerry springer as well they watch cops. well i think this is just what we need . as for the cheeting and fighting? :fighter: §§§§ happens and when it does its quite interesting to see it after you saw it in real life.(actualy its like having replay). cheaters exposed and tempers released hell ya! chino makes for some of the best footage.(fighting not cheating i need to clarify this lol) i clearly remember the game at the event it was filmed at and that was only 1/3 of the controversy.in my eyes bring it on and many more to come. its time we stop worrying about what others think and start to have some fun as the game slowly passes us older guys by. :cheers: and by the way we have chosen as a group to become a major advertiser and supporter of this production !

i don't see paintball declining at all. In fact this is exactly what paintball needs. controversy, yelling, things people can relate to other sports. This sport is great because it covers aspects to keep everyone enjoying it. I don't see how it hurts the safety of paintball either. so someone wipes or plays on or something. No one gets hurt. Paintball is a pretty safe sport considering we're shooting objects at each other.

Honestly, I thought it was just alright. I was kinda disappointed on the lack of game footage, and its overall length. I guess I've just been spoiled by Derder and MwaG.

i liked the controversy and some of the behind the scenes stuff, but as far as game footage, i'd go with derder. and mwag is just unmatchable in the perception of how they show the game. overall it was pretty kool dvd, kinda short though.

I finally got to see the DVD. I really liked it. I loved how they really slowed down and repeated the footage of the wiping and all the other controversial stuff. Hot babes too. Also cool how they also stopped the video footage right when a hit occured so you could really see the splatter of paint go everywhere and then let it play out.

Short DVD, but cool none the less.
