Anybody besides me notice paint seems to be running smaller in diameter? I spoke to a guy at Hammerhead and he said it was a move by the makers of paintball to reduce cost.

Anybody else finding it harder to match barrels to smaller paint or got more info?

Seems to be the opposite, where I am located. They seem to be getting bigger. But it could be old paint

for me its been the opposite for the last few years.

i never ever shoot a barrel less then 0.691 now.. and i prefer 0.693-5 in barrel size for tournament paint

Well yes I have to admit the paint cost is a problem because I hate buying expensive field paint!! Heck my tornament paint is cheaper than field paint for me!!! (But I am a Karanage lackey).

I find around here the high end paint is smaller then the other stuff. I sometimes have to use my spcepter kit instead of my stiffi switch kit cause my scepter kit has smaller bores.

I'm thinking there's incredible money to be made if you could find a more efficient way to make paintballs and cutting the cost. If people are willing to pay 60+ bucks for paint now, think of how many more would buy if you could sell for 40-50 but make more profit.

§§§§ if it costed 40-50 bucks a case for good paint man, i'd be dishing out hundreds per visit to the field...

I play indoor and out door field. I pay 50 for a case of paint when I play indoor and 100 when I play out door.

Why is there a 50 dollar difference?

Here, it's ridiculous. white box is 60 bucks. and then the most expensive you can buy is 69 bucks. Force of habit, I bought the most expensive stuff about a month ago, marblizer and it was crap. I ended up giving a case away to kids.

i've noticed around here that the last few fresh batches of paint at the field has been very small, back in the day paint used to run small around here and everyone started buying up the smaller bore barrels, then all of a sudden there was a change and paint started to get larger and larger, now were moving back to small again.

I have not shot any fresh paint this year, but last summer every PMI paint I shot was so fat my .693 was not big enough.

i think it just changes as companies change their formulas to try and make beter paint.

me niether, I get mine wholesale. But I've notice that alot of newer guns are coming standard w/ larger bore barrels. Look at Warped Sportz stuff, they all come with like a .691 or .693 barrel anymore. What gives?

i'm using a hammerhead with .682 or .683 as the smallest they provide. obviously .679 is looking better now.

i havent shot with a bore smaller then 0.689 for 2 years now and i found that 0.695 was the ideal for the PMI stuff evil or midevil.

dunno whats going to happen this year we are shooting Diablo paint so ill have to get back on that but meh even when using other brands even hellfire i needed big bores.
