I am getting a used g7 that has 17000 shots & comes with a hp tank that was used on the gun so far. I there any problems that i should look for & can I still use that tank for now. I will probly buy a lp tank when I get the money but if I could use this tank for now I will.
Thanks

you *can* use a HP tank but it is NOT ideal, you will have trouble getting it to shoot at the right velocity.
And you will feel it having more kick as well.
try to see if you cant swap your HP tank for a LP one :) instead of waiting and saving up

Crossfires and fairly cheap, but are a great product.

I recently went thru the same ordeal. Had an HP tank. It will work on a g7 but you may likely run into velocity probs. Meaning getting your velocity below 280-300. Plus a noticeable amount of kick.
My solution was to sell my screw in tanks. I took that $ and got a nice used macdev conquest adjustable. Now I got HP for my ego and LP for my g7.

You can get a mini reg mod to allow you to run HP if you dont want to buy a LP tank.

I'm pretty sure you can't do the mini-reg mod to the new regs since there the cartidge style.
