i just got my new tadao board for my g7. so stoked. but.......
i might be confused here but i dont think so.
here is my problem.....
i turn the power on my g7 (with tadao board installed)
the light blinks purple indicating battery has a full charge.
the light then turns solid blue indicating ball is in breach and ready to fire.
here is the beginning of the problem. there isnt a ball in the breach at this point. So the light should actually be blinking blue to indicate that there is no ball in the breach at this moment.
I then turned the air on, put the filled hopper on top and proceeded to fire away anyways. The light then turned to a blinking yellow which indicates an Eye malfunction or to make sure the gun is fired with paint and air. Which i just did.
So, this can only mean something is wrong with the eye.
I then proceeded to switch boards (the tadao out and the stock board in) and test the eye via the lcd screen through the stock board..
I mustve put the paintball through the neck clamp at least 30 times and everytime the ball passed the test. hmmmmmmmmmmm. :notsure:
soooooo, i then switched boards again went through the process again and damnit.... the same problem, the solid blue light is emitting (should be blinking blue) and then when i start firing, it goes to blinking yellow (should be solid blue).
lololololol. am i confused or am i missing something here.
i connected the wires to the correct slots.
i cant think of anything except for two things:
one.... there really is something wrong with my eyes but the stock lcd board cant notice though.
or two..... the tadao board is bad.
i havent contacted tadao or gone to the local paintball store.
i thought i would talk to you guys first.

make sure that the eye ribbon is connected to the board fully.

Ok, you mentioned all but one thing that I can see. Are your eyes clean? I think the Tadao code is a little less tolerant of dirty eyes. Others have reported a simular problem as you have described yours. Very carefully remove the covers holding the eyes in place. Watch out for the little springs holding in the detents! Carefully extract the eye and ribbon cable and clean with a cuetip and alcohol. Repeat step for second eye. Reseat eyes and reassemble. Test out the Tadao board again. Should see a difference. Let us know how it all goes mate.

Has to do with the software in the boards. Without writing an essay when the boards are coded ..... Wait a sec, follow this link it will describe in detail what I was going to say. This whole "colored eyes" discussion in other threads and how they see different color balls is explained nicely. I love the technical stuff, especially when the guy writing it knows what he is talking about! It is a long read and difficult to understand at times. But once you grasp it you will have a better understanding of how your boards differ. The Tadao is a wonderful board and coded with alot of thought!
