i finally did it, only took me a couple hours. I got my Dye Ultralite frame on my 05 Speed. had some trouble with the eyes but i think i've got that licked now. I couldn't get the angel lazer eyes to work but i rigged up a reconfigured harness with the matrix eyes and they seem to work perfectly now. wether the software wasn't compatible or different power requirements for the diodes i have no idea. cuz i could get the eyes to light up, but they wouldn't read anything.

got the UL frame mounted without modifying the angel body at all. Had to shave the valve retaining pin, and trim the rubber eye harness. after this season i'll send the frame to get annoe'd to match and get the old screw holes filled in at a welding shop. when i get some more time i'll flush the back of the frame up with the back of the gun. so it'll look like this was a factory job when i'm all done with 'er.

in the future i want to get the CP reg adapter and a shorty CP reg as well.

so being 12 am these pictures aren't very good mabye i'll try and take some better ones tomorrow. enjoy!

Aside from being able to say that you were able to do it, what is the advantage in doing so?

Well I, like many others, absolutly love the feel of this frame. I couldn't afford a dm6, and I like projects so this seemed to be the logical conclusion to me. I posted it up here incase anyone else liked the idea and wanted to try it themselves.

and yes i know that WDP has a 45 frame, but i like the feel of the dye frame better. It's alot smaller.

the whole ul frame thing sounds like a huge load of hype imo....

honestly, it looks like a waste of money, but whatever floats your boat i guess....

it's all about feel. this frame is super thin i didn't put it on for the looks or the board. and it's not any lighter than the 90 i had on it before. just feels better to me

I didn't like the feel of the UL frame... it hurt my hands and the trigger was too far back. If you like it though... -shrug-

Doesn't look too sweet. But that's an awesome mod, can't wait to see it all prettied up.

I love the feel of DM6's and I hope to get one if I get back more into ballin..

Bet it feels good :]

I guess it would depend on the size of your hand. He is only 12 so it seams reasonable that a thinner frame would fit his hand better. Personally I have big hands, I found the frame a little narrow. But understanding what its like to tinker, I think you should get kudos for making it even fit. Now the question is, what would be the point if it didnt really work well. Bigggups for the cojones and engineuity to make it happen.
