This past weekend I decided to take out the back magnet of my stock trigger. Once I took it out, it seemed to bounce a little and to play the tourneys, I need no bounce at all. So I adjusted the return to as long as it would go so the pull is long and the activation is at the very back or end of the pull. With that said,

There are two pins on the top of the trigger that the venier wheels push down to adjust the trigger. If I filed the front pin down so the magnets were closer to each other, would that help with the bounce issue? In theory it would make the magnets closer so the it would be stiffer so it should bounce less, if at all. I would just adjust activation around how the trigger was set.

I know what bounce is, but how exactly can I tell if it bounces. When I have it aired up, the way it is set up right now, if I hold it up in the air(barrel up) and hit the bottom of the tank with some force, it will go off. I can't really tell if it bounces with paint, since I have no air. Also, what are some simply test I can do to see if it will bounce, I don't want to show up on tourney day and have the refs tell me it bounces b/c I would have no time to put the magnet back in.

If something I have said did not make sense, just post and I will attempt to clarify. Or if you have done this same mod, with no bounce, post what to do.

props to diesel_fireman for the pic

The red led will allow you to adjust the TR. The fewer leds the less likely you are to bounce.
If you are down to only one led lit, and are still bouncing, you will have to firm the trigger up. Had a similar problem with my speed.
Only real way to test would be to put a couple of pods of paint through it while tuning the trigger.
Good luck.

my tr is at 1, so next time i get some air and paint i will give it a go,

does anyone know how exactly the refs check for bounce, or what they do?

Pulling the trigger lightly and slowly in single shots, then see if it takes off in a string. Thts how I check mine at least.

So, do you think that this idea with the front pin would work?

Shaving down a pin will permanently affect your ability to adjust the trigger. As long as you don't shave it beyond the reach of the toe adjustment, you should be ok. This will have the same effect as turning the venier wheel to make the trigger pull long.
