I just shoot my speed today and when I was done I opened the breech and looked down towards the ram/valve and stem side and I noticed that the paint or anodizing was worn off and it was just bare "aka silver". Is this normal or should i get some grease and grease up the ram and valve and stem more?
I got it stock brand new so I didn't think that it needed to be greased any.

Also, I am having troubles with the macroline/fittings. I am using a wgp drop, becuase my friend gave to me because I didn't get an ASA. Anyways, the fittings always seem to leak when on the drop. The straight fitting on the gun's front grip does not leak. The leak is coming from the front of the 90 angel elbow which is on the bottom of the drop, not where it screws into the drop. 2 of my 90's leaked, so I'm getting frustrated. Is this due to the position of the marcoline fitting? I think it has something to do with the hose is putting to much stress on the fitting, i.e. making the fitting collar higher on one side, because when I move the hose so that the front of the 90 fitting collar is straight it doesn't leak. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Or Should I just scrap that drop and get an ASA on the bottome of the grip frame?

I would make you you have a clean staright cut on your macroline and try to make the macroline go into your Angel at and angel as close to 90* as possible. The straighter your macroline goes into your Angel, the less chance you have of any leaks.

if you haven't greased your marker, i would do that. i don't think you have anything to worry about there though.

with respect to the leak, need to determine if it's the macroline or the fittings. if you re-use the macroline, it will leak. i use teflon tape around the threaded fittings of the elbows. some will say teflon is bad because pieces can get in the internals of the marker. never happened to me but you need to make the fittings leak proof.

Don't grease it, that is the color of the grease. If you don't believe me, take a q-tip and put it down in there and rub a small spot, grease will be on the end of it and you will see it is not worn at all.
The same thing happened to me when I got mine.
