Ok so I aired up my gun 2day to dry fire it a couple times, I had it in demo mode. I noticed a SLIGHT HISSING sound coming from the area where the bolt goes in ( RAM i think ) well it was slight and then when I switched my gun from LIVE to SAFE MODE the LCD screen told me its time for a routine oiling. NOW can this hiss be b/c of me needing to oil it or can it be something else such as a o-ring??
Thanks
P.S. I only have approximately 3500 shots on the counter and typically its supposed to send that message at 8000 so whats up with ma gun
Thanks

Its probably your valve. Put a couple drops of oil on your valve stem. Then crank up your velocity and fire a bunch of shots. This will seat the valve stem seal.
If it is your ram, check the o-rings on it to see if they're not broken or pinched, then grease the orings.

You could always try to polish the stem as described in the "sticky".

There is a sticky with a similar problem... oil ussualy serves its purpose for this leak... but here it is anyway
Here are some pictures of the valve job on a G7 done with a Dremel Tool and the polishing kit
Please note that the abrasive used is the one that Dremel sells, anything like braso or such will burn at such high speeds causing a reverse effect. Use and abrasive specified for high speeds or the one supplied by Dremel.
When you take the stem out, it feels a bit rough.... after the polishing is done, one should not feel any roughness with your fingernail, it should feel like it is glass.

Prepare the dremel bit by ataching a felt wheel, the abbrasive is kindda dry, but with the dremel in motion you can scrub the felt in the abbrasive and it smears on the felt. Do this as well with the Qtip procedure ahead
Polish only in the direction of the travel, meaning at up an down the stem, not around.

BE EXTRA CAREFULL NOT TO WEAR OR POLISH THE PLASTIC SEAL!!!!! The only part of the stem that really needs polishing is about the first centimeter of the stem (starting from the top, being the top the stainles steel guide). This is the only part that has friction. Above that is just for the bling factor.

It takes a while using only the felts and abrasive... if you start with stell wool (wich is more coarse) it could take shorter time.
I adapted a plastic Q-tip® cut in half to the dremel mandril and it fits perfectly... this is to polish the small hole in the valve (the guide) so the friction is even less... Don't let the valve get too hot and remove the orings first so they don't suffer from heat expantion. Do baby steps... little by little.... let it cool down and resume.... USE COMMON SENSE (by far the least common of senses) DONT OVER DO IT!!!

Clean all surfaces with a household solvent... NOT THINER.... clean only the part of the stem you polished. The valve can be submerged in solvent without the orings (the solvent may disolve or wear the orings)
Then its regular detergent and water..... Clean the valve with more Qtips
I polished the whole valve (the outside and the accsesible parts where air flows).... I had the time and the tools... just for bit more bling points. This is not necesary... although, like in cars... polishing all ports help.... its a very small difference....
Let the pieces dry, Regrease, reoil, reasemble (don't forgget the orings) and gas your gun up.
It might leak a bit at first, then the valve, seal and stem settle again....
enjoy

OK this is what I did.
Droped some Luv in the valve area and it didnt do nothing then I took the Ram off and all the orings were fine and it lubed fine but i cleaned it anywayz and lubed it up again. NOW the leak is only a 1/4 of what it was b4 and u really have to listen in order to hear it and NO im not hearing things lol.
The only oring that was weird was the one that is on the ram shaft, but I believe its supposed to be bigger to seal the air.
ANy other ideas how to get rid of the 1/4 leak thats left???
P.S. Its brand new and I doubt the vavle stem would be rough

Idunno I was just sitting and thinking could the last 1/4 of the hiss be caused b/c my dwell is at 8???? just a thought

Its at a 1/4 of the leak of what it was yesterday after lubing the ram and dropping some luv in the valve.
I know for a fact its coming from the ram b/c when I put my hand over the valve opening in the breech the sound stays the same but when I do it to the opening for the ram it becomes alot more non noticable therefore I know its probably the ram.

You could replace the o-rings on the ram anyways.
Another thing I do sometime is to take off the o-ring and put a layer of teflon tape in the groove where the o-ring sits. Then put the o-ring back. It will make the o-ring stick out a little bit more from the body of the ram. I just did this with my valve guide. A have also done this with volumizers.

SOunds like a good idea but then you run the risk of the teflon getting into the internals if it falls out somehow
