Version 6 bug?

I have an 05 speed with ver 6- verified by the sixth led lighting up in the version menu (ie no led at top but sixth led lit).

My issue is that when I put the TR into the sixth led for PSP or CFOA, turn it off to save the setting, turn it on it resets or if it does save I then proceed to change the hopper settings or dwell settings, checking to make sure the TR is still on the 6th led- turn it off to save the settings and here is the issue:

It either resets all settings to factory or will fire in the ramp mode untill I turn it off at which point it will reset to factory. This sounds like how the old demo mode used to work but I assumed ver 6 eliminated demo in favor of PSP ramping.

This one has got me stumped. Thanks in advance for help- did a search found no help on this in previous posts that I could find.

edit: I wanted to add that if I only put the TR to 5 leds it is fine and saves all settings- again this is with the ver showing 6 leds.

edit2: SORRY guys please correct if I am wrong but maybe I have ver 1- only one led is lit but it is in the second from the top (ie one red led)- let me know what version that is and thanks.

Based on your description, you have Ver. 7 and it sounds like your board is corrupted and will need to be re-programmed or replaced. ensure you have a fresh battery, try a factory reset (press and hold internal button until board re-boots) and then give a try again.

OK tried that and the problem persists- I will go with the corrupted board theory and...

well the good news I just saved a bundle on my car ins so I can afford to get the Tadao !!!

BTW thanks Bob whats the turn around on getting the new tadao for the 05 speed to SoCal? are they in stock at your place?
