understanding the air.the air is a very simple peice of gear actualy, everyone gets wound up about the electronics.are you aware i could just disconnect the electronic board and remove the batteries and the air would work perfectly?thats correct the air was designed as a mechanical regulator with electronics to tell you tank, input, output pressure and shots left.the air system consists of a reg seat like say air america, spring stack like air america.but with the design of the rocket assembley if working properly it cant spike.it has air pressure on both sides of the internals to allow them to float.the electronics consist of two transducers a electronic board a display and a battery pack to power the electronics.ok electronics 101. the transducers.transducers are elecrtronic pressure sensors that sense pressure in a given cavity.the air has a low pressure and a high pressure transducer.the transducer senses air pulses and converts them into signals that the board can read.heres some air trivia.when desigining the original air the transducers were redesigned in a co-op with ford motor company.the transducers are the smallest of their kind and are being used in their fuel injection system to monitor fuel pressure.never try and remove the bottle with even the smallest amount of air as you can get the bottle stuck and ruin the threads ruining the bottle and never never never loctite the reg on an angel air.so long for now. ken

Hey Ken how bout some information on rebuilding the reg?
Or some of the things that commonly fail and give problems. To help out with some of the problems the majority of people seem to be experiencing.

umm what do u suggest to do when storing a marker with angel AIR?

Make sure you back out the grub screw on the front of the reg and all the air has been shot out of the gun.

so are you saying leave the reg on gun and unscrew the tank? cuz i thought he just said not to... or are you saying to take the whole thing off?

the grub screw that makes the pressure adjustments on the front of the reg can be unscrewed so that there is no pressure on the reg, at this point you no longer have air pressure on the gun (other than residual) and you dry fire that out, and then store the gun

yea ive heard alot of ppl saying that but i use a gun bag i got as a gift to store/move my gun and stuff so i was thinking it might not fit with AIR on it (dont have either yet so i wouldnt know). would someone be kind enough to measure the height and depth of the marker with AIR on it and no hopper or barrel and i guess without any volumizers on it cus those can be unscrewed and stored elsewhere in the bag. oh and that reminds me... how long is the longest volumizer?

I too use a gun bag, mine has double zippers on it, so I use both zippers and then the only sticking out of the bag is the bottle.

Same here. I want to learn how these things work. So I when Im out in the field I dont get stuck asking people that have never seen these regs.
